今年のGWは秋吉台から長門へ抜けて一泊し、萩→益田までを繋ぐ海岸線ハントで〆。 気になる天候も晴れ男x2の相乗効果でバッチリ。気温も20℃台なので夏装備で汗かかない程度。花粉さえなければ、この時期が1番走りやすいですなー。快適でした！ 山口駅から始まる #山口秋吉台自転車道 は整備も行き届いており概ね快適。終点から #秋吉台カルストロード に入り、2-3km登ると気持ちの良い高原ストレートになる。絶景なんだけど、10kmほどしかないのが残念。意外と狭いんだよねここ。 #元乃隅稲成神社 の景観は唯一無二だけど、さすがにGWは人が多すぎた。カメラ持ってくるなら時期外したほうが良さげ。 山口県は交通量が少ないので道が荒れておらず、山陰側は海の色がメチャクチャ綺麗です。このマリアージュが #自転車旅 として他地域にない美点。山陽側みたくバイパスに誘導されるようなトラップもないので安心。 注意点としては、現在 #山陰本線 が下関側の小串〜長門市間で不通になっており、長門から厚狭へ南下する #美祢線 も全然不通。日帰り輪行で角島辺りを攻めるのは大変な手間となっています。長門あたりで一泊できれば選択肢が増えるので、検討すると良いでしょう。というわけで今回は、島根県まで海岸線ハント→益田駅から特急に乗って新山口まで戻るルートとなりました。 #ridefarr #mashallroad #rovalrapide #tadequi #apidurabags #sramxplr #ロードバイクのある風景

The city is surrounded by ports. Naturally, the roads leading to the ports are wide. Thankfully the city is small and there's no need for huge 15 wheelers to transport goods in/out the port. Traffic there is practically zero to none, but always be on the look out for trucks (sometimes buses) coming from behind. Riding there will also lead you to an industrial complex, a few promenades and villages. It's amazing how the view changes within a few kilometres 🚴

It's the season for Hawaiian shirts and shorts (for me, at least). The flowers are blossoming and the weather has a nice warmth to it. Today's adventure is to Tai Wai from Diamond Hill. Cars and other motor vehicles can use the tunnels cutting through Lion Rock. Bicycles however are prohibited 🚫 in tunnels, which left me with no other option but to climb the mountain with elevation between 10° to 20°. The ascent was tough but the scenery made up for it. The descent however was a whole different story. Partly because I took the wrong route down. I had to haul the bike down through rocky hiking trails (and some parts of a hidden cemetery). Everything that glitters, isn’t gold. I’m currently about 87.3% done with the switch to 1x. Initially, I was going to go with the AXS Flattop chain, although it was marked as compatible with the Garbaruk cage, but I felt it didn’t seat right. Swapping out that chain for an Eagle XX1 yielded better results. If you saw my story a couple of days ago, I received a Stone chainring that wasn’t compatible with the Flattop chain, even though it was supposed to be. The seller was very kind to ship me a replacement, which mated well with the Flattop chain. However, in the end, I went for the Eagle XX1 chain, which also works well. The XX1 chain also pairs very well with the XPLR cassette. Next, I’ll be hunting for some DUB spindle spacers to dial in the chain-line. SRAM RED XPLR 2024?? Following on from the leaked SRAM RED ‘road’ images earlier in the month, a new leak appears to show an updated XPLR groupset that shares some components with the aforementioned ‘road’ version. Main points to note: - Beefier rear derailleur than leaked ‘road’ image with Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) interface as seen with SRAM’s Transmission MTB groupsets - Wide range cassette (appears to be 46T in the image) - Redesigned powermeter crankset with new chainring finish and crank arm graphics - XX SL type chain and machined brake calipers / rotors appear to be the same as those in the ‘road’ image Thanks to gcperformance on YouTube for highlighting the leak. MASH Steel “All-Road” 納車！ グレーのバイクほしーなーと探してたところに出会った無骨なラグとRAWフィニッシュに一目惚れ。完全に見た目で即決しました。 ロードバイクとの使い分けを意識して、フロントシングル42-44Tのワイドレシオ。重すぎて持ち出しづらくなったStragglerの反省から、軽量化を意識したパーツ構成。ずっと気になってたRidefarrのグラベルハンドル。パーツは基本的にアメリカ縛りで、コンポも日本でまず見ないSRAM XPLRと、趣味全振りの構成です。重量はペダル込み10kg切りました。やったぜ！ 用途としては、ロングライドやコーヒーライド、LSDトレーニング用として想定してます。 さっそく100kmほど乗ってみた感想としても、とにかく滑らかで、それでいてキビキビしてる！低負荷だと反応が良いのでギアに余裕があればヒルクライムも楽しいです。 反省点としては、ダンシングしたくなるのでショートノーズのが良かったですね。後で手持ちのPowerに替えときます。バーテープも黒が良かったかなーと思いますが、これはエイジング狙いなので使い古すまで保留としましょう。クランクブラザーズのStamp2は食いつきが良すぎて、踏み位置が安定しない。これは慣れもあるかな。 ロードから移植した #rovalterracl との相性はたぶん最高に良い…んだけど、どうせならRapideも試してみたいですね。見た目も使い道も噛み合う気はしてます。Terraの方が良ければ、38Cまで上げてみても良いかな。夢が拡がりますね！ #mashsf #bluelug_kamiuma #sramxplr #ridefarr #eastoncranks
