For Classic Traditional Mexican 🇲🇽DON PEDRO’S🇲🇽is where it’s at—with 2 locations in St George! They are contenders for the top chips and salsa in town AND they serve with bean dip. So yummy! Beef or chicken flautas (pictured) are my favorite but I also love the chimichanga, and enchiladas a la crema (white sauce). The only thing I tried but didn’t care for was the burrito blanco. If you like burritos the fajita burrito is the way to go. It’s huge and fantastic. Their horchata (cinnamon rice drink) is the best around. Don’t forget dessert. The fried ice cream is great. If the aroma of delicious food doesn’t draw you in—the Frank Sinatra style music coming from the patio will. Cappeletti’s serves up food from Italy and Argentina. You can eat gnocchi Bolognese and empanadas here! Both are amazing. This is a really nice place to come for a date or with a small group of friends. The food is high quality and made from scratch. I tried the fettuccini today and it was very flavorful and creamy but not too heavy. Having spent some time in South America I am a big fan of the empanadas. Definitely give them a try. It’s PIE season 🥧 I know several out-of-towners who have to get their Croshaw Pie fix when in St George. I’ve lived here 3 years now and I finally made it over to check them out. It opened at 11: 00 a.m. I arrived at 11:04 a.m. The line was already out the door. When other customers in line found out this was my first time they did not hold back the pie praise and recommendations, “Go for the lemon one but you can’t go wrong here!” By the time I got to the counter I got the unfortunate news that they had just sold out of the chicken pot pies! That was going to be my lunch but I wasn’t going away empty handed. I ordered the popular, Sour Cream Lemon, and my new friends in line acknowledged I made an excellent choice. Back at work my coworkers and I agreed—the pie was divine!! Nothing wrong with eating pie for lunch😋 @Croshaw’s has a huge variety of whole pies, mini pies and slices from chocolate to blueberry. They also serve sandwiches, salads and soups. You can preorder specialty pies online. They are open M-Sat 11-6. 175 W. 900 S. Right off Bluff street. Get there early! One day I was walking around Ancestor Square when I came across Painted Pony Restaurant. Above me I could hear people dining and enjoying themselves on a deck that seemed to be nestled in the treetops. I knew I had to experience that. 🍽 I made reservations for lunch (recommended but not required) and it was everything I imagined and more. 🥗Painted Pony serves Contemporary American cuisine and is considered fine casual dining. I ordered the oven roasted meatloaf and my husband ordered the tuna melt and fresh raspberry lemonade. The food, the atmosphere, and the service were exceptional! We felt like we were on a cruise because everything was so beautiful and we were treated like royalty. Lunch is around $15/entree and is served 1130-330. Dinner is served daily at 4 and has a larger, fancier, and pricier menu. We celebrated our anniversary with lunch at one of St. George’s best restaurants. Cliffside Restaurant offers amazing food AND views of the whole city making it a truly unique St. George dining experience! Everything in the Cliffside Burger was top notch and the fries were some of the best I’ve had. So many delicious things on the menu! Let’s talk about RED FORT Cuisine of India (or Shangri-La as my husband calls it.) This place is definitely one of the TOP restaurants in St George and serves up some of the most interesting and incredible flavors to ever hit your mouth. We always order the Tikka Masala and Butter chicken with a side of garlic naan bread. I’m also a big fan of the mango and strawberry lassis which are like refreshing fruity yogurt drinks. Do you love The Pizza-Pasta Factory as much as I do? It’s always been the place to go for girls night, for birthdays, to get the number pizza, for the best salad bar in town and always was a must stop when we didn’t live in St. George and were visiting. I remember getting a root beer with vanilla and cream before it was a Utah staple from Pasta Factory when I was a kid. Pizza Factory Express on Sunset was my HS lunch place of choice. I had so many friends who worked at Pizza and Pasta Factory when we were teenagers and have always been impressed with the customer service at all locations over the years. As far as food goes the half pasta, salad bar, breadstick combo is the best! My current fav pasta is the zucchini noodles with alfredo, szechwan chicken, artichokes and mushrooms. I love that there’s 3 locations across town to get all your Pizza-Pasta Factory favorites. Which location is your go to spot?
