A very beautiful, contemplative and moving beginning to Holy Week. Everything now shrouded until Easter Sunday. Lost in the chants, stunning choral work, in soaring clouds of incense - which has always transported me to another world is so intoxicating. But since my health holiday I now need to sit near the fresh air of the side doors so I don't faint. We used to go to Benediction every Wednesday through primary school which had a profound influence on me, with its monstrance and constant swinging of the #thurible of incense - the divine frankincense and myrrh. But, then there was a surprise to bring us back to reality. I am grateful for the ushers @stmaryscathedral and also the three fit 20yos, who separetly but immediately hurdled out of their various pews to crashtackle a very aggressive gentleman who disrupted Mass, who knows his intent. People then waited with him as he continued to rage loudly - happily none of them injured. I am also grateful to the quick arrival of the #nswpolice I was three rows away and pleased to be safe thanks to the boys.
