Setting the bow at the frog. Here’s how I teach the ideal bow set at the frog — just imagine pouring something into the bass side F hole. This approach results in a balanced feeling without a crunch. When setting to another part of the bow, use the same motion but pour the imaginary liquid somewhere in front of your body.
