Tatumaa’s new exhibition series has a tender subject matter that chose the artist, as opposed to the artist choosing it. Meaning, in early 2023, Tatumaa moved into his downtown studio located at 306 Union Street. This particular location has become the epicenter of the fast growing opioid epidemic with dealings, open use and morbid overdose deaths, not to mention the constant hourly blare of vibrating sirens.
