"Me contro Te" Sabato 20 aprile durante l'attività di pulizia della spiaggia di Eraclea Mare abbiamo raccolto un piccolo bambolotto dei youtubers "Me contro Te". Nell'ultimo mese, dopo le forti mareggiate che hanno colpito il litorale del Veneto Orientale, abbiamo trovato tantissimi giocattoli e ben quattro bambole abbandonate. "Winky Blinky" Il 16 febbraio ho trovato sulla spiaggia di Duna Verde la testa di una bambola molto particolare. Dalla ricerca in internet ho scoperto che apparteneva alla bambola "Winky Blinky" prodotta in Giappone negli anni sessanta dalla fabbrica di giocattoli Takara. "Befana Sperlari" Il 5 gennaio alla foce del Piave ho trovato parte di una bambola vintage in plastica. 27 ottobre 2023 Duna Verde Città di Caorle "La tartaruga non sta dormendo, purtroppo è morta. Probabilmente è morta perché ha mangiato delle buste di plastica o dei frammenti di giocattolo... Lo scoprirà l'Università di Padova quale sia stata la causa della sua morte... Spent all day Thursday learning about line, shape, and space. Meeting and connecting with my new friends Susan, Mary, Llaura, Jan, Brigit, Susan. Laughing and sharing. Took a walk down the block to the Fred Meyer grocery and was enthralled by the moss covered tree trunks, the leaves I don't see where I live, and other studies of color, line, shape, and space that are likely to impact my creative decisions. Started pulling some materials. Today, we are on a field trip headed to Kelley's studio, then a local mosaic art installation, and a shopping trip to Bedrock Industries that makes glass tiles from all recycled materials. Tonight is the opening reception of the newest show, "Just One Drop: Art Exploring Water," at Gallery Q in Downtiwn Stevens Point from 5-7 pm. My inspiration came from an article I read on the world record holder for most consecutive rock skips. Kurt 'Mountain Man' Steiner skipped one stone 88 times! (Look it up!). From there, I was intrigued by ripples, which of course led me to think about conservation and climate change and the ripple effect that compounds and joins us all. "Tappeto di Tappi" Durante la nostra settimana di mare ci siamo "divertiti" a raccogliere i tappi spiaggiati. La raccolta mi ha ricordato quanto il mare sia pieno di questi piccoli oggetti, ma recuperare 600 tappi in soli 4 Km di spiaggia mi ha stupito perché la sola costa italiana è lunga 8300 Km. I made these sticks with various colored ceramic pebbles cut in pieces, pottery, and a gold gilded glass dish, plus some bugle beads and black gravel.
