Introducing the Diamond Beach Beanie from @eat.wander.crochet , another fabulous pattern in the Of Fire and Ice Collection part 1. This beanie caught my eye with that fabulous band (it’s also a separate headband pattern too!) and gorgeous color fade. It worked up so lovely, even though I do struggle with my gauge on the csc stitch sometimes…. But nothing a slightly larger hook for that section didn’t fix! The color fade on this hat is nothing short of amazing and we all found that it’s almost impossible to take a bad photo of this hat! All around, it’s a win so grab your copy today! Hello Friday, how I’ve missed you ❤️ I seem to have forgotten my first love of crochet, the shawl. When I saw the tester call from @d.elegant.ermine for the Pnina Shawl, I jumped at the chance to test and use one of the many lovely Hobbii Twister Cakes. It took me a bit of time to choose the right cake and still I worried this one would be too dark for spring… oh wow was I wrong!!!! Look how bright and springy she looks already and I’m just getting to the dark colors which I believe will only make the brightness pop even more. I’m so in love already; I can’t seem to put this one down!!! It’s also reminded me of how much I love making shawls out of this amazing yarn! It’s been a tough, emotional week and this project was EXACTLY what I needed to help shift my focus, and allow some time to take care of myself by doing what I love. It’s been an incredibly welcome project for this time. And it’s Friday. Hoping to be able to put everything else aside, all the stress and enjoy my hubby this weekend. Next week, I’ve got to get to work, and get things knocked off my to do list. This week was a self care week for sure, and while it was so much needed, it’s time to pick myself up and get it done!
