I cannot get enough of a good #thriftfind 🛍 I never thought I'd say that before I met my husband, but since meeting him, I've discovered how to have an eye for a good find and the best places to find them. Thrifting came in handy so much when it came to shopping for maternity clothes! It killed me how expensive some maternity pieces are just because they have "maternity" on the label. I had a hard time justifying paying some prices for items I would only wear 3/4ths of the year. Enter secondhand! A handy tip when shopping for maternity? Don't focus only on searching for maternity specific items. All of my secondhand stores have a very slim selection of maternity, so I ended up combing through the rest of the racks and finding lots in my normal size! It's Month Prep Day! 👏 A year or so ago, I was always so overwhelmed at the start of a new month with allllllllll the things I knew in the back of my head I had to do (read: FELT like I HAD to get done THAT MONTH 😶). More than half the time, I would never get done what I wanted to or had planned to because life always has other plans, and some of my to-do's would get pushed to the side. It was constantly one of those things that felt so unhealthy to try to tackle 😮💨 Since then, I've found a process with my current project management system, @clickup, that has allowed me to streamline all my to-do's, both personal and work related, and it has been such a game changer for my day to day, week to week, and month to month! Now on the last Sunday of every month (with the exception of this month because Easter tomorrow 🐰), I block out my day to look ahead at the next month, accounting for appointments, events, etc., and compare what kind of time I have available to schedule in the important to-do's for that month (mostly work related). Any extra time I have after that, I schedule in random personal tasks that I have outstanding on my list. I'm always mindful to give myself nights off, and I try to give as much weekend time off as well, especially now that it's getting nicer out! It seems like a lot of work some months but it's so worth it for an overly organized person like me to know come the first of the month, I already know what I have to look forward to and that I've made sure to allot myself plenty of time to actually complete each task 👍 And it helps when it's nice enough outside to sit and relax in the breeze to complete it all 😉 #monthprep #saturday #projectmanagement #plan #planning #planner #calendar #organize #theblondebehindtheblog #blog #blogger #lifestyleblogger
