Яготинське літо: Варвара Рєпніна та Тарас Шевченко «Мій дорогий вчителю, пишу Вам з Яготина, з нашого родового маєтку. Хочу розповісти Вам найдивовижнішу історію, що сталася зі мною. Історію, а не казку…» Саме так почала лист до свого вчителя Шарля Ейнара княжна Варвара Рєпніна, освічена і талановита представниця родів Розумовських, Волконських, Рєпніних, найдивовижніша та найдуховніша жінка, яку зустрічав Тарас Шевченко на своєму життєвому шляху… Жінка з неймовірними, печальними очима. Романтично та піднесено у листі до вчителя описує княжна свою першу зустріч з Шевченком у Яготині, куди поета запросили зробити копію портрета князя Миколи Рєпніна, господаря палацу Розумовських-Рєпніних та батька Варвари Рєпніної: «Коли я вперше побачила незнайомого, я раптом гостро відчула запах свіже скошеної трави, терпкий запах, від якого серце защемило. Коли ми прийшли додому, я довідалася, що це – художник-живописець, причому навіть більше поет, ніж художник і звуть його Шевченко». Тарас Григорович оселився у флігелі біля палацу господарів у 1843 році. Йому - 29, їй – 35… Вона одразу побачила в ньому Генія і закохалася у намальований нею ідеальний образ… У Яготині Шевченко написав поему «Тризна», яку присвятив Варварі Миколаївні Рєпніній. Він же сприймав княжну, як найближчого друга, чи люблячу матір або улюблену сестру. Бо його думками заволоділа інша жінка, дружина поміщика Закревського, родича Рєпніних, Ганна… Настав час Шевченку покинути Яготин. «До побачення, сестро!», - попрощався він з княжною… Вони зустрілися знову тільки через 10 років, у Москві після його повернення із заслання. Вона, хоч вже і не молода, але з глибокими, розумними очима. Він, молодший за неї, виглядав глибоким та хворим старим… Флігель, у якому проживав Шевченко у Яготині, відновлений після повного його знищення під час Другої світової війни. Під час війни так само був знищений і розкішний палац Розумовських-Рєпніних. Старовинні меблі збиралися співробітниками Музею за детальним описом, складеним для Рєпніних. Крім розкішного італійського ліжка та пречудової французької шафи, перлиною Музею-флігеля є картина невідомого автора 19 століття «Сліпець із хлопчиком».
This post is with a bit of delay, as I visited my friends from the 15th separate assault battalion some time ago. ⠀ But with your help, I brought some of the necessary stuff which is very important for our soldiers at the frontline. These were raincoats and tactical backpacks, cartridge-pouches, overalls for BMP mechanics and gunners. ⠀ In addition, some other goodies fit into my car, and of course, children's drawings with words of support and gratitude to our defenders. They were very pleased, I could see it in their eyes. ⠀ A huge thank you to each of you who joined the fundraiser or donated items and products! ⠀ A separate 15th Assault batallion, is very special to me, although I cannot explain why, even to myself. But that does not really matter. Now I am in a different division, but still, absolutely nothing has changed in my attitude towards them. ⠀ They are always the first to attack, and when it’s time to retreat, they are the last to do so. Now they are in the first lines of the counteroffensive. Just yesterday, I asked what they needed most urgently at the moment. This post is actually about how small the world is. ⠀ But before diving in, a brief preamble is needed, I guess. So without many details yet, the military service didn't pass me by… More details may follow (possibly) a little later. Now, returning to the main topic of the post - the world is small indeed. ⠀ Many may still remember that once upon a time I traveled the world on a motorcycle. I visited many countries, including Brazil. Brazil, among other things, is a country with a highly developed motorcycle culture, so I left behind many friends and connections, as well as wonderful memories. Of course, I couldn't meet up with everyone, although I spent a considerable amount of time there. But then again, the country is large. ⠀ It turned out that among those whom I couldn't meet in Brazil was Tiago @tiagoluizlunkes , even though I was nearby. Nevertheless, he had been following my journey on Instagram for many years. ⠀ I met Tiago personally yesterday, and it was then that I learned that he had known about me since several years. ⠀ Tiago, being not only a motorcyclist but also a military serviceman, came to Ukraine to help defend it alongside his brothers-in-arms. And it turned out that we are in the same unit without knowing it before. We didn't meet in Brazil as motorcyclists, but we met in Ukraine as the military. Such a small and unpredictable world. I never cease to be amazed by it. ⠀ Furthermore, it turned out that most of the guys from this Brazilian unit are already motorcyclists or aspire to become ones. ⠀ For me it's an honor to serve alongside them. It’s been a while since I was there. My car was broken and I couldn’t move much. To be honest, I felt quite bad - I felt useless and hopeless, etc. ⠀ Luckily, the car is fixed, I’m in better spirits, and I’m glad to be of help, to deliver something, to bring someone somewhere, just to be available. ⠀ Even though my journey around the world is put on hold, and I’m back in Ukraine, I can’t stay still. I have to move, to change places, to see places, to meet people. Once upon a time, while traveling around the world, I used to meet with children and the youth at schools, colleges, and universities in the countries along my route, tell them stories about my journey, adventures, and life lessons. It was a long time ago, and to be honest, I missed it. ⠀ So, when the offer came from the University of Customs and Finance in Dnipro to meet online with students majoring in international economic relations, international relations, regional studies and public communications, I gladly accepted it. ⠀ I was looking forward to this meeting, but I was also nervous. First, I thought I already lost my flair, and having video conferences is not my favorite practice. ⠀ The first attempt turned to be a failure, because we were attacked by russian hackers who disrupted the meeting. It had to be postponed to another day, and the organizers had to learn how to protect ourselves from similar attacks in the future. ⠀ The second meeting took place without any obstacles. I was pleased to recollect and share stories about my trip, about how it ended and my plans for the future. It was very nice to hear so many questions from the audience and answer them. Many thanks to the teachers of the University for the invitation! This is not how I imagined my trip to Uman. This beautiful town used to arouse old pleasant memories in my mind, and for some time after returning to Ukraine I thought of coming here to walk in the famous Sofiyivka Park, to distract myself a little and take a break from the bitter reality. Instead, I found myself here at the time of mourning... ⠀ On April 28, at 4 a.m., russia again launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. Dnipro, Kyiv, Ukrainka, and Uman were affected. In Uman, the missiles damaged about ten high-rise buildings, the worst hit was a nine-story building in which one whole block simply collapsed from up till down. ⠀ On the third day after the tragedy, rescuers pulled out all the dead and injured from the rubble, and communal services removed the debris. Twenty-three people were killed, including six children. ⠀ Tears for the dead, for their ruined lives, tears for the living, who will henceforth live with unrelenting pain... ⠀ Around here, where the tragedy happened, the wind whistles and penetrates to the bones, while in other areas of the city it is warm and sunny in a spring-like manner. People are coming and bringing flowers and toys, the hand-made memorial is expanding in size, there are many children who came with their parents. They know and understand everything. Maybe just yesterday they were playing on the playground with some of the children who will never come to play again... ⠀ Today I am walking around Kyiv and see a huge number of wonderful flowers on the flowerbeds and on the trees. There is one episode in the Ukrainian movie "Cyborgs" which I really like. One of the heroes, standing on the tower of the Donetsk airport, says to his comrade: "If you look into the distance like this, it seems like there is no war," and he is folding his palms in such a way that only a tree and a piece of clear blue sky around it can be seen through the slot. But as soon as you open your palms and remove them away from your face, the scenes of explosions, smoke, and the rest of the war ugliness returns and takes place of this imaginary peaceful picture. ⠀ Walking around the spring Kharkiv today, I was whatching it through the "folded palms" of my camera lens. And for some moments you could imagine that there was no war, but only the spring sun, nature waking up and squinting at it, people finally enjoying the warm air. ⠀ You could imagine for a fleeting moment, but by no means forget that the war is ongoing and it is next to everyone of us. A few days ago, volunteer friends from Kherson visited Kyiv. ⠀ As you can guess, it wasn't just a trip to the capital to enjoy and relax. The fact is that despite the enormous work that these guys did and continue to do for the city of Kherson and its residents, they did not have their own vehicle. Therefore, distribution of humanitarian aid, evacuation of people from Kherson and surrounding villages, and many other good deeds were carried out in the vehicles of friends, acquaintances, and guests. It was very inconvenient, often loss of time and opportunities, not to mention stress and insecurity. ⠀ Finally, now they have their very own vehicle to help them in their noble mission. Some of the funds were raised by their own efforts, some - thanks to many of you, for which a huge thank you. alexander.grigorenko found a Renault Master car for them and brought it to Ukraine from Europe. Alex, thank you very much! Let me remind you that he has been engaged in the search and delivery of cars for the Armed and volunteers for more than a year, so if you or your acquaintances / friends have a need, contact him directly. ⠀ So, Oleksiy and Ivan came to Kyiv with the aim of picking up this vehicle and delivering it to Kherson as soon as possible as a huge number of missions were already waiting for them. So I didn't manage to persuade them to stay in Kyiv for at least a couple of days, it just didn't work. They hurried back, but promised to return at the first opportunity. ⠀ By the way, the car immediately received a name, its name is Commissioner Zhulber And I know that Commissioner Zhulber began to fulfill its immediate duties even before arriving in Kherson - it delivered a large amount of humanitarian aid to Kherson, and now helps in the evacuation of people in the Kherson region. ⠀ I keep my fingers crossed for you, people of Kherson, take care! You are one of the bravest, most driven and selfless people I know. Сосед снова громко смотрел телевизор. "Е*ись провались, в семнадцать тысяч раз потише сделай, тебя монгольские крестьяне слышат !" - думал я про себя. Про него старался не думать вообще. Что взять с человека, с интеллектом умственно отсталого майского жука и восприятием жизни уровня кочана капусты ? Возможно это поспешные суждения, ведь мы никогда не общались. Я судил только по тому, что видел. Он обладал ловкостью бабушкиного черпака из нержавейки, и лицом человека, которого даже уличная шпана боялась останавливать. А взгляд был настолько остр, что им разве что гвозди в тополиный пух забивать. Дождался. Сосед ушёл на работу. На его место пришло одиночество. Мы оба были не в восторге от компании друг друга, поэтому решил пойти за соседом. На улицу, не на работу. Так странно наблюдать одинаковые улицы в городах разных стран мира. Наверно просто архитекторы юзают default-pack, не желая искать другие модельки зданий на торрентах. Перешёл на синий светофор и красный Мальборо. Воздух был слишком чист, чтобы дышать им без дыма. Достал пачку сигарет, вынул одну, подумал, повертел её в руках и положил две обратно. Боковым зрением, глаз цеплялся за прохожую девушку. Было больно. Кое-как отцепил его и пошёл дальше бросая взгляды на прохожих. Ни в кого так и не попал. Подумал, что с прохожими и проезжими у меня как-то не клеится, и решил попробовать с кошкой у магазина. Смотрю ей в глаза и возникает ощущение, что она что-то знает. Вот бы поговорить с ней, интересно было бы узнать её точку зрения на мир. Решаю уйти, не задавая лишних вопросов, ведь мало ли, ответит ещё. Понял, что совсем не знаю, какое сейчас время с уток. Вообще очень мало что знаю про уток, но раз они летят на восток, значит мне, похоже, с ними по пути. - "Вы на следующей сходите ?" - "Вообще я планирую сойти с ума, но похоже это ещё не моя станция" - сказал я и всё же сошёл всем назло. Зло оказалось недовольно, отряхнулось и пошло прочь. Очень хотелось есть, но есть было совершенно некого. Пришлось заниматься самоедством. My preparation for a trip towards Bakhmut to bring some useful staff for the soldiers there took a whole. ⠀ There were many needs, so collecting everything was not so easy or fast. But in this I was helped by caring people, to whom I am very grateful. ⠀ I met Father Mykhailo and visited Saint Martin Christian Center @sanmartin.center . When I reached out to them immediately they got back to me and invited to come and load my car. It was filled to the brim with many useful things for the guys, including hand and foot warmers, winter clothes, thermal underwear, a generator (!), and much more. I just have no words to express my gratitude. ⠀ The center has been working and assisting both civilians and the military since the very beginning of a full-scale invasion, responding to all needs very quickly and as efficiently as possible. Not to forget the warm and friendly atmosphere that envelops you as soon as you get there. As my photography skills have improved over the years, I have come to appreciate the beauty of capturing not only the landscapes and sights of my travels, but also the memories and moments shared with my family 👨👩👧👦 While I have not pursued photography as a career, I have found joy in using my skills to document our adventures together. Recently, my interest in my Ukrainian heritage has led me to explore my genealogy roots, taking several trips to the villages in Ukraine 🇺🇦 where my ancestors lived and some of my relatives still reside. Despite the ongoing war that Russia started in Ukraine, I am eager to return and explore the country once it is safe for my family to do so. These girls are Nastya and Lyera. I met them at the Kherson railway station when I was waiting for my train. They come here every day with their parents to charge their phones and tablets. They like it here - it is relatively warm, they can meet friends, play and sing. They sang our popular these days song Red Kalina to me. One man, passing by us, smiled and remarked: "Before, all the children sang "A Christmas tree was born in the forest" (popular Soviet Christmas song) but now they sing Kalina 🙂" I am glad that tomorrow I am leaving again in the direction of Kherson region. Recently I noticed and realized that I always move towards inspiration. People of Kherson region are one such source of inspiration for me. My first trip to Kherson was short, but very saturated. Soon I will share with you all the details, impressions and photos. ⠀ And while almost the entire country was in a total blackout, I was returning back on the same "Train to Victory” from Kherson to Kyiv. Where there was electricity and warmth. Such an irony. We even made jokes with people from Kherson, who were also going to Kyiv, that this train is currently the most comfortable place in the whole country. ⠀ And I was very happy, first of all, for them, that they would spend at least one evening and one night in comfort. Because they lived without electricity, heating and water for more than one week, not to mention the previous months of occupation. ⠀ Huge thank you to the Ukrainian railway for this train, for the opportunity, for the comfort, for the humanity, for the service. ⠀ Everyone works in their area and everyone brings victory closer as much as they can, even if it's just choosing to be strong and resilient, choosing to smile no matter what and even make jokes, choosing to look neat and take care of oneself, choosing to be invincible. ⠀ #ihaveadream #StandWithUkraine #Ukraine #GloryToUkraine #Kherson #WarInUkraine #TravelingUkraine #annagrechishkina #train #traintovictory #blackout

I looked at the photo and realized that I am somehow too happy, considering where I am and for what reason: ) ⠀ By the way, no, I didn't fall from the motorcycle, but I fell while running towards it, so one way or another, there is a connection with the motorcycle :))) ⠀ But there is a reason to be happy, because at least it is not a fracture, but just torn ligaments. So a couple of days of rest and everything will be ok. Maybe I really need these few days to sit down and work with the collected material. ⠀ And in general, yesterday really pleased me, along with all the Ukrainians, with wonderful news of liberating Kherson! So, I am looking forward to recovery and the opportunity to go to Kherson region, although maybe not on a motorcycle.
