Let’s celebrate strength and movement! 🥰 We just had a company family day with our colleagues and their family. We had five games, and they are the following; 1️⃣100m x 8 relay 2️⃣Badminton tournament 3️⃣Adult Telematch 4️⃣Kids Telematch 5️⃣Tug of War 😎 ✅ I signed up for Tug of War for obvious reasons, and we had a funny conversation during our team strategy. Captain: I saw you lift heavy, so you’re going to be our anchor! Me: But I’m not the biggest here. Captain: I know, but you might be the strongest. Me: OK, I’ll do it. Let’s go!! 🏆And we won! It was a massive team effort! I can play and win the Tug of War thanks to strength and movement. 🏃We ran, jumped, landed, carried, pulled, and pushed. These movements helped us busy professionals enjoy family days. We competed, had fun, and built camaraderie among our colleagues. 💪🏼Playing these games requires some level of fitness. Now imagine you’re not fit. You can’t run, jump, carry, pull, or push because of pain. 🫠You had to sit on the sidelines and watch. I’m not going to lie; that was not fun at all. Let’s avoid that and join the fun. 💪🏼To do that, you need to invest time in exercise to become stronger and fitter. Then, you can join the company family day to have fun and build better relationships with your colleagues. 😎Let’s get fit and stronger so that you can join in the fun!!

WAGONERS CHALLENGE 2024! Save the date for this fun, family day out - Sunday 19th May, 10am-5pm! A day not to be missed as Royal Logistic Corps regiments from across the country come to Sledmere to take part in the multiple events of the Wagoners Challenge to see who will become the Wagoners Champions 2024! This is the third year of the competition and is set to be bigger and better than ever! 150 Regiment Royal Logistic Corps have teamed up with the Museum of the Wagoners Special Reserve and Sledmere to create this hard fought competition to see who will be crowned Wagoners Champions 2024. The Royal Logistic Corps are the soldiers in today’s army who have inherited the role of the men from the Wagoners Special Reserve who fought in WWI. The events in the competition will tell the story of the Wagoners and their journey from farms to the front. The challenges are designed to replicate the training associated with the Wagoners’ when the Unit was preparing for World War One in 1914, including: - Long Reining Horses - The Bale Challenge - Showing in Hand - Driving the General Service Wagon - Tug of War Visitors will also get to hear music from 150 Regiment Band and to see the Khukuri Dance from the Queen’s Own Ghurkha Logistic Regiment. There will be a demonstration of the museum’s Horse Ambulance and there will be information stands, vehicles on display and exciting activities and inflatables for children.
