People are funny because of course, they don’t know anything about death. They never experienced it and knew it was something to fear, but they fear it so instinctively. There have been countless times in my life when I thought I’d be better off dead. That nothing could be worse to me right then.. At times like that death looks sweet and peaceful, and unbearably enticing. - Oh Ash, I just wish the world didn’t fail you so horribly. You didn’t deserve anything that happened to you. I know you recklessly charge towards death, but I wish you would choose to live despite all the hardship, despite the pain, maybe just on a single hope that you would find something worth living one day or make it so you survive without having to sacrifice yourself. I wish you would see the value of your own life. I wish the two of you would flee somewhere so far and safe for you guys only. I wish the whole world was a safe place. Well smack my rear. I just found out that my piece "Broken Road" (big thanks to my friend Jackie for the title) has been accepted to #transparentwatercolorsociety! Many thanks to Birgit O'Connor and Stephan Zhang for their confidence in my work! And with this my friends, I have my #twsa signature! I didn't do it 3 in a row, like I did with #nationalwatercolorsociety and #americanwatercolorsociety but I did it in 4 years, and that's just about as good. I've heard of people taking many years to accomplish this and I'm really proud that I've finally made that goal! Honestly, I didn't realize I could enter 2, so this was my SECOND choice! <3 I'll share the 1st Choice soon (which btw, is a kick arse painting). Will I be able to make it to WI to accept? 『“工芸で彩る”食の空間コーディネート展』 この度、金沢市デジタル工芸展企画 『“工芸で彩る”食の空間コーディネート展』に、金沢の工芸品を使用したテーブルコーディネート作品を応募したところ、"優秀賞"をいただくことができました。 先日、北國新聞で受賞者の記事を拝見し、ようやく実感がわいてきたところです。 さすがに2年連続の受賞は難しいだろう思っていたので、思いがけないお知らせに驚きました。 それと同時に、能登地震で被害を受けられ、今も被災されている方々のことを思うと胸がいっぱいになりました😢 大変な状況の中、イベントの開催を決断をして下さり、これまでご準備いただきました金沢市経済局クラフト政策推進課の皆さま、また、作品を選んで下さった審査員の皆さまに心より感謝申し上げます。 明日2月23日（祝）に金沢のANAホリデイ・イン金沢スカイ18階のトップオブカナザワにて展示させていただき、授賞式とレセプションに出席させていただきます。 展示作品の九谷焼の器にシェフがデザートを盛り付けて下さるというご褒美が待っています♡ 今回のテーマは 『 私だけのおやつタイム 』 立春を過ぎると、年度末に向けて何かと忙しくなるこの季節。好きな工芸品を使用して自分だけのちょっと贅沢なご褒美時間を楽しむコーディネートです。 白と紫を基調に、工芸品の温もりを大切にしながら、春の宵の満ち足りた癒しのひとときを表現しました。 タイトル 『心躍る特別なモノに囲まれて〜春宵一刻（しゅんしょういっこく）〜』 作品については、またあらためてご紹介したいと思います。 作品を通して、工芸品を普段の食卓に取り入れることの 「楽しさ」や「魅力」をお伝え出来たら嬉しいです。 既にTWSA @twsa.jp スクールは卒業していますが、@nippon.shizuka 先生より直々に学ばせていただいたスタイリングの基本を大切にしつつ、自身の個性も活かした作品作りに邁進してまいります。 テーブルスタイリングは無限の可能性を秘めているのでとても楽しいです！！ #ご褒美コーデ #石川県 #金沢市 #金沢市デジタル工芸展 #工芸で彩る食の空間コーディネート展 #好きな工芸品に囲まれて #テーブルスタイリング #テーブルウェアスタイリスト #テーブルコーディネート #TWSA #工芸品で生活を楽しく #うつわ好き #工芸品 #器 #青手赤椿皿 #融点カップ #細胞紋酒器 #九谷焼 #伝統的工芸品 #北國新聞
