Preparations are in full swing behind the scenes for our upcoming Rooted exhibition. We are really looking forward to beginning to share work from the 18 different artists taking part in our exhibition from next week. But first up, thanks to the support of the @northumberlandcoastnl, we are really pleased to be able to share more about the writer-in-residence we’ve appointed for this project - Amble-based poet & writer Ali Rowland. Ali Rowland lives in Northumberland. After having poems and short stories published in over fifty magazines, and winning two poetry competitions, she is coming dangerously close to regarding herself as an author. Ali is assisted in her endeavours by her husband, with whom she collaborates on film poems, and a beautiful Border Terrier. Swipe to read one of the poems she has written recently - very fittingly titled ‘Roots’. Rooted opens on Saturday 18th May and runs until 1st June, the exhibition is open 10am-4pm each day.
