Here’s a little recap of key points I learned … for all of the writers out there on this creative journey with me 🤗 · To save yourself time, money and future issues: do not have an illustrator illustrate your book until you have your book edited. · There are 3 types of editing: Developmental, Line, Copy and then Proofreading after the book is formatted. I suggest going through all processes for a great story. · Keep picture books word count concise. My suggestions are under 500 words. A good way to think about it: how long do you want to read to your kiddo before bedtime? 🤪 · If you want to write children’s stories, attend @womeninpublishingsummit workshops. They are ongoing.
