Wandering and drawing Lake Orta in my sketchbook. Magical, secret place, inaccessible and unobtainable for many, sung by the legendary, forgotten local poet Augusto Mazzetti (1901-1978)! He loved hiking the surrounding mountains, seeking the pitiful shade of the trees and dreaming, admiring the underlying island of San Giulio dotted with lights. Painting and walking in my beloved "Old Piedmont": my gouache of the magnificent tower of Piedimulera, built by the Ferrari family in 1594-1597. The tower is located in a crucial point for the transit route of the Anzasca Valley.
