A little weaving project, a sample towel, shown in b&w until the customers receive their finished order, on the go right now. My main focus is my suspended spindle spinning, as I need to try to get into words what my hands just know how do, and not the incoherent, rambling, word salad that usually comes out of my mouth. I used to think that I was a top whorl gal, but as I'm revisiting the different suspended spindles, I am finding it hard to put down this bottom whorl spindle. Over the last week l have been catching up with bits and pieces as well as giving myself a different space to focus on other strands of my weaving. The thought of creating new products has gathered pace. The rug shop will need more time and the other is finding a new design for my most basic and affordable scarves. I have a very simple design but wanting to experiment around it so l'm going to dress my table loom, first time in ages with a short warp. I've recently stumbled across this gorgeous sheep book on my shelf!! I wanted to learn to spin as a teenager and saved up for a wheel. I ordered this book from the British Wool Marketing Board. I often dipped into it, learning their names, locations, staple length of fleece. There's even a sheep breed called Lonk found in the Pennine Hills, never knew that!! Today I managed to give the dogs a good walk and wind this lush warp, even though my fibro has flared quite badly and I still feel exhausted. Mum was discharged from hospital last night . The appendicitis which she had in the summer has come back, and they won’t operate because she’s 83, so it will be treated with antibiotics. This will be ongoing.
