Day 264 #mentalhealthwalk 30 mins
Gus thought he could drive for me today but I wouldn't allow him because he refuses to learn how to use my electronic logs. He just wants to drive and not do the paperwork required. He's such a cat!
He could do all my night driving but he'd probably demand I pay him as well. As if! I tell him he's lucky that I take him places and feed him food he doesn't have to hunt for.
Despite not using Gus' extraordinary driving talent (his words, not mine) I made it to destination. I'll unload tomorrow and call to find out where I go next.
Words. Words matter to me. Maybe because I'm a writer. Or because I take things literally. Any way. They matter. But words aren't everything. Because actions speak louder than words.
I use words to set the bar high. Then I work to achieve what I've said. I say I'll get better at "xyz", and because words matter, I work at that.
So if you see my actions aren't always as good as my words, please be patient. I'll get there. Words matter.
Tomorrow "Nature"
