So I decided to bite the bullet and enter my very first proper 10k race today, the Snetterton10k, taking place around the iconic racing circuit... unfortunately today was also the coldest of the year (still below freezing when we arrived!) ❄
Looking at last year's results and based on my recent training times, I set my goal at a top 150 finish 🎯 Not only did I end up bettering this target by half, finishing 72nd/815, but also managed to knock over 4 minutes off my previous PB (from 46:35➡42:31)... whether this was the flat course or the desperation to get back into the warmth I don't know 😂
Brilliantly organised with some fantastic live music along the route and a snazzy medal at the finish, thank you to everyone who made it a great day out! .
