For starters today is my birthday and since March 4th was released as opening day for this movie I have been soooo excited to see it!
Batman is back! Batman in just his 2nd year of crime fighting and is still trying to find his groove. Gotham has the Riddler trying to help everyone to connect the dots to uncover the truth of the lies and cover ups happening in the city. We also have Cat Woman and the Penguin in for good measure. This movie is definitely the darkest of them all, with lots of scenes at night. Also this is intense! There is no other way to describe it.
For starters I finished this movie and I have decided I must see it again in the theater before it leaves it. Also at some point I will do a ranking of the movies and will say Dark Knight is still my #1. I thought this was done well but just a couple things made it a little silly to me. Like why does it rain so much and why does Batman sound like he is walking in 100lb boots? But I did like it a lot. I give it a 8.5 out of 10. Though I may change this rating after another view.
After second viewing. This movie is quite beautiful. Batman against the fire in one of the scenes is just amazing. Though I found the rain and boots annoying the first time it helped set the tone the second time. The acting really is great and I feel like everyone shines in their own way. This time I kept hearing the leather noise but not as annoyed as I was last time. I must say I liked the movie overall even more the second time around. I will raise it to a 9 out of 10.
