When you're starting to build muscle, doing 8-15+ reps might not be the best way. To build muscle effectively, you need to stress your muscles with weight, let them rest, and they will grow. High rep ranges aren't great for building strength. They tire out your cardiovascular system before challenging your muscles enough. Many beginners are told to do 10-15 reps per set, but that didn't work for me. I only saw progress when I started lifting heavier weights over time. So, if you're struggling to grow, focus on lifting heavier weights instead of just doing lots of reps. It's a simple but effective approach. . . . . . Glowing and Growing💪☀️ - Post workout selfies + post workout fuel💪❤️ - Physique update: I set new physique and performance goals for myself and now I’m tackling them💥 - I did a 3D body scan last week to see where I was at with body composition. From there I set a goal to 1. build muscle and strength on my lower body and 2. This is why you may need 𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 balance.. I’m not here to say balance is bad, I think having multiple seasons of life and fulfillment is crucial to success in any goal. But people don’t recognize that balance can be more than going out drinking and eating on the weekends. The other side of balance can also look like: ❌Saying no to things that don’t serve you and your goals at the moment 🚶🏻‍♀️Carving out time to hit your steps and get movement each day 😴Prioritizing your sleep routine vs. staying up to finish binge watching a show ✅Even having seasons that are less balanced so that you can eventually have more later on (think of it as checking off your boxes to a tee in a reverse dieting phase so that you can successfully maintain a healthier weight later) This is what it comes down to ➡️Some people need less of the normalized “𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚” and more 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 and routine to reach the goals they desire. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Does that mean you need to be tracking and weighing food daily forever? Absolutely not, but it may mean that this season is prioritizing your fitness goals a little more than the typical human.

Client progress pics 😎 I've been dying to post this one for a while now! Saif has made incredible progress from the start, but it's always been a case of "I want more, let's keep going! I can get leaner" 45lbs lost in 20 weeks With a full week off to enjoy a trip to London And regular refeeds throughout the process - we had a couple of occasions where "naughty" foods were chosen 🍔, but they just didn't satisfy, and left Saif feeling a little out of sorts We found that refeeding with good quality foods, that were on his current nutrition plan (just a lot more volume) hit the spot and filled him up nicely 💪 Pineapple being a bit of a secret weapon 🍍 Saif has made some massive changes to his lifestyle during this time, setting solid habits and routines that will continue to improve his quality of life and take his physique to a new level 😎 The focus now is to sensibly transition into a gaining phase and get some muscle slapped on! “I’m doing ‘everything right’, but I’m still not making any progress on my goals. I don’t get it.”🤨 . ‼️LISTEN UP: A STRESSED body is NOT a responsive one‼️ . When you are stressed out, your body is in the fight or flight state. Your cortisol shoots up along with other stress hormones, so the last thing it cares about is losing body fat and building muscle. . You NEED to WORK WITH your body. Not against it. . 🙅🏻‍♀️You should NOT🔽: Add in extra cardio Focus on the scale Cut out more carbs or fat and put yourself further into a deficit Do HIIT cardio . ✅What you SHOULD do🔽: Focus on what you can control and stop worrying about what you can’t. Focus on managing your stress levels and how you deal/cope with it. Consider doing LESS high intensity cardio and instead do low intensity cardio like walking. Consider a diet break if you’re in a deficit currently. Consider taking extra rest days. Think about scaling back on training intensity. Eat more nutrient dense and whole foods. Make sure you are getting adequate hydration. Make sure you are getting at least 7 hours of sleep each night. . 👏🏻The best thing you can do when you are stressed is to focus on supporting your body with what it needs – not necessarily what you want. SUPER ORGOGLIOSA della mia atleta Nensy Stoppa @nensystoppa , che al suo primo Mondiale WNBF da Professionista, si classifica al quarto posto nella categoria Pro Bikini Tall, in una lineup super competitiva. 🏅😍❤️ Finalmente un risultato che premia la nostra strategia per raggiungere il top della condizione, il picco di forma fisica e il look perfetto per la categoria Bikini, in occasione della gara più importante della stagione. 🤩 La preparazione è stata infatti pianificata per raggiungere il livello di magrezza maggiore in occasione della gara Svizzera, con il solo obiettivo di ottenere la qualifica per il mondiale, per poi salire con carboidrati e calorie, per ottenere un riempimento ottimale e, di conseguenza, un livello di dettaglio maggiore, in vista del palco di Seattle. Calibrare attentamente il look finale, al fine di arrivare piene e tirate, ma non troppo voluminose e nemmeno troppo tirate, per non essere fuori categoria, è, nel caso delle atlete Bikini, un gioco molto sottile. Felice di aver centrato l’obiettivo e di essere riuscita, per il secondo anno consecutivo, a portare un’atleta alla top five mondiale, nonostante non fossi là, gestendo la condizione con i necessari aggiustamenti di giorno in giorno e poi anche di ora in ora. From life I want ____ ? • This is one question I never asked myself and if I did, maybe I would have sorted my shit out a lot sooner (sure we can all relate😅). • Don’t get me wrong; I am not saying drinking, doing some form of drugs is all that bad but If you’re - accomplishing goals - chasing your best self and - you know what you want in life, go out occasionally to unwind that’s totally fine. Do what you want to do 🤌🏽🔥 • Again I’ve said, I was before doing it with no purpose, intentions or goals and don’t get me wrong, I have some amazing memories 🧠. We’re getting there slowly and steadily ‌ The last few weeks and the weight average each week was: ‌ 153.2 152.8 152.4 152.0 ‌ Four weeks straight of 0.4 lbs lost per week. That’s about .25% of body weight. Anywhere from .25% to 1% lost per week is good progress, certainly when there isn’t a lot of fat to lose in the first place. ‌ It’s a slow pace sure, but not a bad thing! ‌ With the strength training being a cornerstone of weekly plans we can be reasonably certain that nearly all the weight lost came from body fat. Also with a new overall low weigh in last week, there’s no need to adjust anything to the plan yet. ‌ The slower pace is for a couple reasons: ‌ 1) I don’t have much further to go so naturally the pace slows down as you get closer to the end 2) There were some days each week where the step count wasn’t met, so that could have made larger drops but that’s also just speculation ‌ Progress is progress. ‌ If you’re still mentally in the game as I am, not burnt out with what you’re doing, not feeling overly fatigued physically or mentally, meaning adherence isn’t dropping or becoming harder, and motivation or discipline to do the work not falling off, then everything is going as it should. ‌ Keep putting in the work, forget about the pace, just log the targets and results. ‌ If in the next couple weeks the pounds lost isn't meeting the .25% then there will be an adjustment to bump that pace back up a little bit. ‌ Right now my weekly targets are: 15k steps per day 4 LISS cardio sessions outside of the 15k steps 4-5 lifting sessions per week 6 low calorie days at 1600 1 high calorie day at 1950 . . . . #goalsetting #workouthard #getstronger #dontquit #gettinginshape #dietingproblems #fatlosstip #weightlosshelp #physiquegoals #fatlossprogress #gettingfit #losefat #physiquegoal
