Have you guys peeped this video? I’m curious where Ye was in the vid, and also who was in charge of the playlist. But still very dope that he heard the song “Jeans” which is 2hollis’ most popular song. For those who don’t know, @2hollis is an upcoming artist who uses elements from electronic, hyperpop/glitchcore, and more (can’t box him into one genre, that’s why he’s fire). Woah! Finally! Albums of the year list is out! I know this has taken quite a while to finish. I really try to make my writing interesting and captivating while also being accessible to new listeners. One of the biggest issues modern music journalism faces is this wall we as writers put up to almost deter listeners who aren’t already familiar with the art we’re talking about. Major publications face this problem. It needs to change, and I want to push us as writers away from this snob culture.
