🇩🇰 04.05.2024 The best research of the past year was honored at the DTU Årsfest. King Frederik attended the celebration along with almost 1,400 DTU students, faculty and staff. As part of the annual celebration, this year's Working World Prize and the Innovation Prize were awarded, as well as doctorates and honorary doctorates. 🇩🇰 13.03 2024 Good military service and good camaraderie were honored today as King Frederik took part in the inaugural parade of the Royal Life Guard at the Life Guard Barracks at Rosenborg Castle. In connection with the watch parade, the king presented the “King's Watch” to the guard Rasmus Boy Bedsted, who was voted by the guard company as the best guard during his service. The king is thus continuing the tradition of handing over the clock, which after the change of throne changed its name from “The Queen's Guard” to “The King's Guard”, as it was called when it was introduced under Frederik 9. At today's parade, the King wore the army uniform M/69 with four stars on the shoulder badge, as the King was appointed to the highest military rank in the army in connection with the change of throne. Guter Militärdienst und gute Kameradschaft wurden heute geehrt, als König Frederik an der Eröffnungsparade der königlichen Leibgarde in der Leibgarde-Kaserne auf Schloss Rosenborg teilnahm. Im Zusammenhang mit der Uhrenparade überreichte der König die „Königsuhr“ an den Wachmann Rasmus Boy Bedsted, der von der Wachkompanie zum besten Wachmann während seiner Dienstzeit gewählt wurde. On the same occasion, the president and secretary-general thanked His Majesty's support for the organisation's aid work at home and abroad over the years. From 22 March 2024, the public at the Amalienborg Museum can get up close to the King's gala uniform from the Royal Navy, the King's first school bag, the dog sled whip from the Sirius expedition in Greenland and the heavy beam Maren, which His Majesty had to dig under in connection with the end of the frogman training. These are among the items that, together with portrait paintings, photographs and video, make up the exhibition "Frederik 10. - King of Tomorrow". The exhibition, which is shown on the occasion of the historic change of throne on 14 January, tells about the events and decisions that have helped to shape the King's life and person. The exhibition will be shown from 22 March to 8 September 2024 at the Amalienborg Museum in Christian VIII's Palace at Amalienborg. When the exhibition closes at the Amalienborg Museum, it travels on to Koldinghus, which is also part of the Kongernes Samling. The exhibition can be seen at Koldinghus from 11 October 2024 to 21 April 2025. The Advent wreath consists of two parts. First, a solid flamed maple wreath decorated with an intarsia band with the motif of a mirrored mistletoe sprig. The plant's poisonous berries are cut from mother-of-pearl, while the leaves are cut from veneer that has been shaded using heated sand. The second part is a bowl turned in bird's-eye linen from Fredensborg Slotshave. The wreath and bowl are surface-treated with shellac, and the candles are mounted in brass holders. 🇩🇰 05.12.2023 Today I had the opportunity to both talk about help for the 65 million islanders who are threatened by rising water levels, and focus on the Danish companies that are working to solve the climate crisis. Together with climate ambassador Tomas Anker Christensen, the day began at a conference that focused on the conditions and challenges the island states in the Small Island Developing States struggle with on a daily basis. The low-lying islands feel the consequences of the rising sea temperatures, and the goal of the conference was to focus on both challenges and possible solutions to the problem. My next stop at COP28 was an event where four Danish companies shared their experiences with capturing CO2 on a large scale. It is also called decarbonisation, and in a somewhat simplified way involves encapsulating and storing CO2 from larger production and transport companies before it escapes into the atmosphere. On Saturday, the anniversary was celebrated in a very special setting when His Royal Highness the Crown Prince shared an exceptional dining experience with 100 children at the Michelin-winning Alchemist restaurant in Copenhagen. The Crown Prince and the children from the organization's holiday camps were invited by chef and restaurant owner Rasmus Munk. Along with the restaurant's other cooks and waiters, Rasmus Munk gave an introduction to Alchemist's food universe, with the children and the crown prince first visiting the restaurant's test kitchen. At the change of command parade, the crown prince inspected the parade force, which includes troops from the Hunter Corps and the Frømand Corps. The Special Operations Command is a task force tasked with strengthening, synchronizing and developing the armed forces' special operations capabilities. The 43 meter high town hall will in future be a meeting point for local politicians, citizens and local organizations and associations. After the inauguration with songs and speeches, the crown prince took a tour of the town hall, during which Mayor Michael Ziegler and municipal director Lars Holte showed the council chamber and the public roof terrace of the town hall, among other things. Mitten im Stadtpark Åbenheden befindet sich das neue Rathaus der Gemeinde Høje-Taastrup, das Kronprinz Frederik eingeweiht hat.
