24 hours later and I'm still buzzing about last night's class at @coexistcommunitykitchen 🥳 I had the pleasure of teaching another “Vegan Italian Feast” class to a wonderful group who spent a sunny afternoon with us and enjoyed their “Dolce vita” moment by making delicious pasta fresca ripiena and panna cotta with cantucci. 🇮🇹 There's something special about interacting with attendees that always fills my heart with immense gratitude: it's their curiosity, kindness and enthusiasm and I can't help but to hug everyone when they leave the class. 🥰 Feelings apart... Tried @themetbristol for the first time last week with @lucyaliceyoga for a @click.bristol meeting and it was worth the wait. We had a chilli crab brioche with Nori hollandaise 😍 And a Korean fried chicken with a satay sauce and a chilli mayo that was the most delicious mayo I’ve ever had dare I say … OBVIOUSLY we had to try a cocktail or two and had a spicy margarita (me I’m basic) and a mezcal cocktail - both which were stunning. Then had a cracking bottle of Vinho Verde in the sun to follow. Great good. Lovely people. Great booze. What a place 👏🏽 P.S. So tonight we ventured into Bristol to try out @cappadocia_bristol We have eaten in their Bath restaurant so when we heard that they had opened in Bristol is was a obvious choice for our BH Monday meal. There is an excellent and a varied selection of food on offer so you are spoilt for choice! 8 years of Good Food & Co!! In May 2016 I set up a food stall in a white gazebo cooking the food I love on blue camping stoves and plastic fold up trestle tables. This had been my dream for years before I got to this point. I had been working in hospitality since I was 15 years old. Having worked in pretty much every position from washing up and making hot drinks to head chef and general manager positions in bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants. My food sits in the feel good food category and my dish inspiration’s come from the north of Africa, the Middle East and Asia. I’m not a one cuisine food stall. I was born in South Africa where I was exposed to a melting pot of flavours and cultures from a young age and this has inspired my style of food. Cooking what I enjoy means I am able to change my menu up when I get bored or if I think my regulars might want something new. This week marks 8 years of Good Food & Co and I recently estimated I have served over 80,000 portions of food all prepared by my very own hands to the people of Bristol.
