I'm in Chelan this week for the Planning Association of Washington conference and took the opportunity to connect with other urban planners at Lake Chelan Brewery in Manson, just 15 minutes up the lake from the city of Chelan. We were all really impressed with the beer and food, and even more so with the prices! Their Happy Hour beer was $3.50, unheard of on the west side of the mountains. They had me try their Manson Beach Blonde Ale, a light but full body beer with a nice mix of hops, wheat, and malts and a touch of honey and citrus. With the opening of our Wenatchee taproom, we are proud supporters of the festival, and of course, the Brew Crew! This year, it will be the featured beer in the Apple Blossom beer garden. Hellbent was also not going to pass up a chance to recognize our own brew crew, Bailey, Brian, & Adam who help make all of our beer happen! Made here with @boydthebeerguy from @garlandbrewwerks and @fuhme from @spokanebrewing this beer was “boiled” in an oak barrel using uber hot granite stones as a heating source! @shortylongbacktothefuture documented much of the day so we’ll hopefully get a short video of the brew day soon!There is a faint smokey aroma and taste to what is a light and refreshing wheat ale! Infinite Wisdom is a collaboration with @humbleabodebrewing and one we’ve done twice before that is always great. Introducing "In the Know" West Coast IPA! This West Coast IPA is brewed and dry-hopped with HBC-586, Simcoe, and Mosaic hops. This beer pushes off notes of ripe apricot and lemon zest on the aroma with a flavor blend of mango, Meyer Lemon, and a light perceived bitterness.
