Custom MOTUC Filmation-style Leech! I've covered this custom before but with the upcoming Masterverse Leech, I wanted to give more detail for those of you that still collect Classics. I will continue to expand my Classics collection but as time goes by, it gets harder and more expensive to buy MOTUC figs for customizing. For Leech (and majority of my Filmation Classics customs), you will need the parts from @eternal_customs_motu. I get them from his shapeways page. You will also need a MOTUC Leech. Years ago, I only got the head and painted it to match the Classics figure colors. As time went by, I wanted the full Filmation look. Using a dremmel, I sanded down the forearm guards and Shin guards to match the filmation art design. I didnt sand down the belt however. Im on a budget so I didnt get the custom shoulderpads (which comes with a horde bat face) either. I sculpted the simplified bat face with putty, and used the shoulder pads from an extra armor set. @eternal_customs_motu also makes a Leech with a closed mouth. Once budget gets better, I'll get it too. I used Citadel and Vallejo acrylic Paints but understand that these paints chip easy. Especially at the joints. Since I don't pose these figures often, Im not too worried having to do touchups. Filmation Leech's hands could change shape in the show, but early on, he had the ability to drain peoples powers from their heads using his hands. The upcoming masterverse figure looks like a cross between 200x, Classics and Filmation. Does anyone here have Masterverse Leech yet? This Custom Leech looks great with the other Mattel/Super7 Filmation figures, helping complete my favorite toy/cartoon line of all time. I hope @eternal_customs_motu and all the other customizers/artists don't stop. As far as modern toys are concerned, MOTU origins is still my main focus. I’m trying to be as complete with it as I can be, but with half of the new figures being exclusives that we don’t even get the chance to acquire up here in Canada, it’s really taken the fun out of trying to collect this line. These are a series of work in progress screenshots of the fortified citadel known as Snake Mountain, from the Masters of the Universe. I like to think that my inspiration for creating this is Gwildor the Thenorian eating a bucket of BBQ chicken whilst wearing shades. I'm making this using ZBrush and it will be the environment from which Merman will emerge. I was going to sculpt Castle Grayskull, but then realised that Snake Mountain would make more sense for the scene. This part of my portfolio development module is a stretch goal, and the reason why I'm trying to complete the stretch goal is because I think it will be a really cool setting for Merman. My plan is to render both the character and the environment in Unreal Engine.
