Transparency post: It’s really hard for me to post these pics 😢 But I NEEDED to for accountability purposes! I still struggle a lot with my self image behind the scenes but I hold grace and compassion for myself because I’m committed to showing up daily for my mental & emotional health and I know I inspire others to do the same! 💪🏽✨ This picture is 8 months apart. For me, mental & emotional health was priority over everything else this year hence why my transformation this time around is a lot slower. This is only a 20 pound difference. Cutting fat while building and maintaining muscle in all the right places and building healthier habits. Old me would’ve rushed the process, doing cardio excessively, and starving myself to get rid of my stomach and back fat in half the time! But this fitness journey I vowed to love me unconditionally in all my phases as well as take care of myself and treat myself like someone I am responsible for taking care of. That means the same way I pour into my clients daily and make sure they eat for brain development and strength, I had to do the same. Prevention is better than cure so I had to take my mental and emotional health seriously so I won’t repeat history #iykyk This journey has been challenging to say the least and I’ve evolved so much mentally, emotionally, and spiritually by ensuring my cup stays filled to pour into others from my overflow without burnout. I workout consistently as a healthy coping mechanism to release, reground, and refuel so I can keep showing up for these kids daily with ease (the 3Rs method I teach for emotional wellness). The physical transformation was just a bonus! 2024 I vow to go even harder with my consistency and discipline. I’m not in a rush to the finish line. It’s not a race. It’s a marathon. I’m my only competition.
