Oceanside Sound-Off competition! I joined Voltage this year and didn’t know what to expect. Now I come to class everyday as Arnold from the Magic School Bus. I got this solo/ role and knew it would be challenging, and it ended up being the most fun i’ve had on stage this year. I love my Voltage classmates, friends and family. The last time I was there as a conductor was 6 years ago when I was pregnant with my eldest. I’m so grateful to my singers who had been patient with my teaching. choir has probably been the most consistent thing for the past 8 years of my life. The people, the music, the adrenaline rush you get as you wait backstage is something i would never change for the world. This year specifically holds such a special place in my heart. After 2 years of distance learning and being deprived of the applause you hear after a set, i had an amazing opportunity to perform with 3 different choirs this year and they all helped rekindle my love for music.
