It was enjoyable Saturday performing the first three Bach Suites in two concerts @musicmalling, alongside works by Stevie Wishart, Deborah Pritchard, John Woolrich and Judith Weir. If I was just now waking up to the fact that social media holds the 🔑 key to my success as an artist, I would immediately do this ONE thing… And it’s exactly what I DID do +4 years ago when I finally started noticing the independent artists who actually knew how to wield the power of social media marketing and promotion. I invested my TIME. At this stage investing money felt like too big a risk. 😩What if I invested in the wrong thing… 😩What if I lost money… Bottom line, I didn’t even know what to invest in. So in order to figure out how to effectively and efficiently dive deeper, I started giving my attention to free trainings. Podcasts Long form YouTube videos Long form captions And summits… I remember being soooooo excited when I discovered my first summit all about the MUSIC industry. It was THRILLING to realize there were industry experts sharing their knowledge for free on the internet. That first summit was called the Profitable Musician Summit, hosted by Bree Noble. The wild part??? Back then I felt like a little black Labrador puppy looking up at Bree interviewing her guests on the big screen. (Actually it was my phone and I was sitting in a cafe. Still, it FELT big.) But NOW… Bree has interviewed ME on her podcast MULTIPLE times! AND… TOMORROW I will be an industry expert MYSELF in the Superfan Attraction Summit hosted by @dianefoyarts Can you believe it??? If I’d invested in the thought “I don’t have time,” I’d still be exactly where I was back then. But instead I invested my time in learning for free, until I figured out what and who I wanted to invest my money in as well.
