🤑🎅🏽SAVINGS SATURDAY 🤑🎅🏽 I know, I know it’s not for another 9 months though when you’re on a path for FINANCIAL FREEDOM you have to make a plan & stick to the plan!! If you haven’t started saving yet, NOW is the time to start!! Transfer money weekly into a separate savings account or put the cash in a Christmas Envelope.💪🏼💰. . This weekend while you are getting your house together, shuffling papers be sure to take a few minutes to plan for the upcoming vacations, special days, holidays, etc!! If we know it’s coming up why not plan for it so we are not stressed, going into debt, or not able to do it right cause we didn’t plan. A few of my recommendations:. 🎁 Since every year I know Christmas is coming in Dec, I AUTOtransfer $50 per paycheck to a Christmas Savings Account before it even gets to my account. That’s 26 paychecks x $50 = $1,300 and when it’s gone it’s gone. Syd the Kid gets what she needs/wants all year long so we don’t going crazy for one day. 🎂Syd the Kid turns 21 the end of July so you already know how that’s about to go so every paycheck I’m putting money aside for her trip & celebration. 📚 Syd the Kid is still in school so they autodraft my account monthly to put monies in her 529 account to help pay for school 📈 Saving is important though we also have to have money working for us so monthly they auto draft my account to add money to my investment account. If you know it’s coming, set up this weekend another savings account to transfer money to WEEKLY or PER PAYCHECK. It will relieve some financial stress and you won’t go into debt!! One of the main ways I went from BANKRUPTCY TO 800 SCORE, BANKRUPTCY TO BUSINESS OWNER, BANKRUPTCY TO HOME OWNER, RENTAL HOME OWNER, COMMERCIAL OWNER was to stop playing with those people’s money!! I made sure, after I was given a fresh start, to pay my bills on time every month!! ⏰⌛️🗓The one credit card I did keep I paid that off each month (I like to earn the points to get gift cards annually to give as Christmas Gifts don’t tell my family 😩😂) or if I had to make a large purchase, I paid more than the minimal payment. . Happy Thursday #FinanciallyFitFriends!! A more powerful tool than cash is CREDIT!! Use other people’s money to get assets that appreciate in value to make more money!! To do that you have to keep your credit score high. 📌Paying on time accounts for 35% of your credit score so just by budgeting each month you can do this 📌If you mail a payment in 2 weeks before the close date/next statement date and then again right before the close date it will boost your score faster due to the CREDIT UTILIZATION factor. 🗣🗣🗣Ok Ok so maybe I wasn’t completely correct on my previous post (swipe to see), I’ll admit when I’m not all the way correct.. On my previous post I said “I’m a TAX PROFESSIONAL, not a MAGICIAN🎩🐇🔮🧞♀️” because you can’t make $100,000 on your W2 and have $0 taxes withheld and not expect to owe a lot in taxes come tax time; which is correct. Though if someone took that income and invested it into a business, real estate, a few things I maybe could wave my magic wand and get their tax liability down from over $15k to $750. Let me explain!! Be sure to REPOST & SHARE IN YOUR IG STORY as this is how the wealthy get wealthier. 💪🏼💰🔑🔌💡. . 1️⃣ Jason is a single guy, with no kids, doesn’t own a home, doesn’t have a business, doesn’t itemize his deductions, isn’t paying his student loans. Jason just gets paid biweekly, makes $100,000 a year, withholds $0 taxes cause he says he needs the money and just spends his income as he makes it. VS. 2️⃣ Lisa is a single woman, no children, owns a home so she can write off her real estate interest and real estate taxes, plus she tithes 10%, cleaned out her garage and donated a bunch of stuff to Good Will, she is paying her student loans back so paid $2,500 in student loan interest, she started a salon suite business where she invested a lot more in the business than she made this year, she also has 3 rental homes she rents out and write offs the expenses to maintain the properties, upgrades and depreciation on the properties. . 💰TAX TIP TUESDAY💰. I shared this illustration back in June though seemed like a great time to share again as a reminder 🤓🤓 It’s not about what you MAKE but what you KEEP, that makes you WEALTHY!! Here is a simple example to show why so many have ventured into Self Employment, Small Businesses, Independent Contracting, or Side Hustles especially when they passed the “Tax Cuts and Jon Act of 2017” which eliminated deductions for unreimbursed employee expenses.. ❗️W2 employees can no longer take all those deductions when itemizing on their tax returns anymore such as office supplies, mileage, parking, uniforms, tools, training, dues, etc.. ❗️Though if you have a Business you are able to take all deductions for expenses you paid during the year that are ORDINARY and NECESSARY for your trade or business.. ❗️For the Business, you only pay Income Taxes and Self Employment Taxes on the PROFIT from the business (Income minus Expenses). For 3 out of 5 years you can claim a Business Loss before the IRS may deem it a hobby, not a business. ❗️If you have a Business Loss that reduces your Taxable Income (including W2 income) and in turn reduced your Income Tax Liabilities (taxes you owe) ❗️W2 Employees pay Income Taxes on all their income/earnings, before any expenses. . Hopefully this helped you see the Tax benefits of having a small business!! Just be sure you are maintaining records of these expenses you will be claiming.
