Exactly one month ago, I was invited to lead an art workshop for our Year 7 students during their visit to Guyi Garden in Shanghai organized by our Chinese Department. 🚌 I have to say GuYi park is a gem of a garden! And though I’ve been in Shanghai for many years, I never had the pleasure of visiting this place before. Among many wonderful activities organized by the Chinese Department such as listening to tour guides, treasure hunting, photography competitions, and interactive interviews, it seemed fitting to have an art activity that would connect our students to nature and Chinese culture. Inspired by the lush sceneries and rich cultural surroundings, everyone was invited to paint bookmarks and the results were simply stunning. Looking at all the bookmarks, it felt right to have them put together into an art installation alongside 10 exquisite photographs taken by our Y7 students. The bookmarks and photophras are currently exhibited at YCIS Ronghua Gallery. From March 29th to April 10th, an exhibition and two performances by the artist duo Mueller-Divjak (Jeanette Mueller & Paul Divjak) took center stage in two contrasting venues: In the course of an exhibition at the Songkhla Art Center in Southern Thailand diverse found objects were juxtaposed with AI-generated imagery and the exhibition environment, exploring the complex interplay between humanity and nature. In addition, the artist duo together with the performance artists Zun Ei Phyu from Myanmar, Tuntun Taratawan Krue-On from Thailand and Ulrich Gottlieb from Germany, created an artistic performance that was performed in the Songkhla Art Center and in the Austrian Embassy. The performance deals with how people want to and can influence “living systems”, which requires a basic understanding of these systems. Non credo al tema Natale o simili, anche se ho sempre sentito un forte e pervadente legame con la Luna 🌕 ✨ Ad oggi, maggio 2024, i miei capelli sono lunghi 80 cm: sono fermamente convinta che siano un'estensione della mia forza interiore 🪷 ✨ Sono sempre stata profondamente sensibile, una spugna che percepisce e assorbe l'emotività altrui.
