Perfect country pile esq. pub for a couple of upmarket mockney gangster drinks. This pub is owned by the master of this genre, British film director and general smooth MF, Mr Guy Ritchie 🎬🥃. This pub was re-opened in around 2019 but there has apparently been a pub on this site since the 1800’s. The exterior of the pub is lovely 📸 with weathered wood signage, old wooden casks and a cobbled alleyway that would have been used as a horse and cart parking spot to pop in for a quick pint. The interior 📸 again uses a great mix of oil Victorian art canvases, country style trinkets, moody lighting, wooden furniture and a striking wooden with copper top bar. I didn’t know but it’s one of the only places you can try cask and keg beers from Gritchie Brewing Company’s (his own) brewery based on Ashgrove Farm located on the Wiltshire /Dorset border. The stout was banging. This is another ‘in the know’ find, hidden off the beat and track of Fitzrovia, close to the base of the striking BT Tower.
