Avevo la febbre per cui Ieri sono stato a letto e non ho visto nulla. Oggi ho visitato Little England, cosí chiamata per le case in stile coloniale, ed è il posto più freddo dello Sri Lanka ma è molto piacevole e rilassante. Dopo la foto del puledro, puoi incontrare cavalli liberi in giro per la cittadina, in ordine ci sono il tempio Hindu Seetha Amman Kovil, l'ufficio postale ed il Queen Victoria Park. Infine il mercato centrale 🇬🇧 After two days of fever here's a quick summary. The first 4 photos concern Lipton's seat, a viewpoint dedicated to Thomas Lipton, and the related tea factory. I travel by scooter on a bumpy road but it's worth it... the landscape along the way is spectacular. Then we move on to Nuwara Elya, reached by TukTuk thanks to the local driver Accram. I had a fever so I was in bed yesterday and didn't see anything. Today I visited Little England, so called because of the colonial style houses, and it is the coldest place in Sri Lanka but it is very pleasant and relaxing. This afternoon we managed to fit in a park visit. This park is 10 minutes away and has duck ponds, formal gardens, a fossil grove and so much more. Today's final full day in #Melbourne, #Victoria, #Australia, started with the trip up to the 88th floor observation tower of the #EurekaSkydeck. From here were phenomenal #panoramic views of the city #skyline seeing such highlights as the #ShrineofRemembrance, #MelbourneCricketGrounds, #GovernmentHouse, #RailwayStation, and #StPaulsCathedral, to name a few. After descending, we ventured down #StKildaRoad passing the #NationalMuseum and #QueenVictoriaPark to arrive at the #ShrineofRemembrance, erected and opened on November 11th, 1935. It pays #hommage to all who sacrificed in wars such as the #BoerWar, #WWI, #WWII, #Korea, #Vietnam, and even present day conflicts in #Iraq, #Afghanistan, and #Syria. You can climb the outer steps for great city views or venture inside to see the thousands of #medals on display in wall glass cases, the #crypt, the #sanctuary, and the many historical displays. However, do take note of the #TomboftheUnknownSoldier as its overhead skylight is designed to reflect light precisely on the tombstone on November 11th, 11 am, each year without fail. Also, tour the outside promenade to see more skyline views of the city while taking notes of the 3 flags at full mast: the #Australian country flag with a large star in the bottom left corner, the Victoria state flag is also an Australian flag with a crown in the upper right, and the #indigenous flag with a band of black and red with a yellow circle in its centre. The sound of Horse Shoe Falls was intense enough, but the thick mist blowing from the straight line winds off Lake Erie was also intense, making photographing the most famous part of Niagara Falls almost impossible. Looking East up the Niagara River, the famous Horse Shoe Falls part of the Niagara Falls are to my back, spewing an abundance of mist into the stiff breeze. For a brief few minutes between scattered showers off the lake, the brilliant sunshine reflects in the falls mist, forming a very strong rainbow over the American Falls.
