Welcome to Miami, Bienvenidos a Week 40 😎 🦃 Our RV park is a big adjustment after being spoiled in the Keys 😆 there is a beautiful nature trail around the park though that’s been great for running and morning walks. The park is surrounded by palm tree farms and on one end there is a farm with a pregnant goat, lots of sheep and cows, and the most arrogant, flamboyant turkey we’ve ever seen (he even has a rooster side kick 🤣). 🦟 We have a new appreciation for all of the dinosaur-like lizards and chickens around the park, because we are just being eaten alive by the mosquitos and want them to do their job 🫠 💛 All week we were really just super excited for my parents to get here! 💦 We spent two days visiting Everglades National Park (our 31st as a family and first since December!). Fun Fact: the Everglades isn’t a swamp, it’s a slow moving river and the only place in the world where alligators (freshwater) and crocodiles (prefer saltwater) coexist. 🐊 Day one we did some hiking on the southern end of the park, and drove the 38 miles through a variety of ecosystems, ending in the Florida Bay and southern most point of the mainland of Florida. We got a glimpse of a manatee drinking the fresh water that flows from the park and meets the salty water of the Gulf of Mexico. No croc spotting this time! 🚤 Day two we went on an airboat tour with Everglades Safari Park and captain Bill into the National Park. We saw a group of baby alligators, about 4-5 gators, a turtle, and some birds. Definitely a memorable experience!

Our new adventure begins! Our newly purchased Coachmen Leprechaun 220xb. Right now we are outfitting her with all the living essentials. Amazon made some money off of us but saved us a lot of running around. Hope to leave towards Minnesota this Tuesday. Will have to dodge tornados along the way. I just want to say how proud I am of my best friend in the whole wide world, my kids dad Adam for pulling himself out of the gates of hell and is becoming the dad and grandad he was meant to be .. I now don’t think that every phone call was because he was found dead .. over an hour I was on the phone to him and we where making plans together for the first time EVER about what we want to do with the kids and grandkids 4 daughters and 3 granddaughters and now a grandson 🥰and it’s left me feeling so happy because we finally did it .. we are free … I had a bet with him that in 12 months tops I’ll buy an RV and we will travel GB together … As a family at last , it’s never too late .. Trying to catch up a little! In February, we returned to one of our favorite spots: Palm Springs! We were happy to be with friends both old and new most of the month. I was able to take a solo side trip to Utah to meet my new nephew and surprise my mom for her birthday. At the end of the month, we said goodbye to CA after nearly 5 months exploring, adventuring and enjoying the pleasant CA winter weather. Here's a few favorite memories: 1. Sunrise and sunset among the palm trees never got old 2. Lots of snuggles with Gibson 3. I was so happy to see my family and spend so much time with my mom! 4. The girls dressed up with their friends for the Valentine's party at the campground 5. Exploring with friends 6. Visiting an oasis in the desert 7. We added a new state to our map! 8. Winter Capitol visit to the Arizona Capitol Museum 9. Fun times at the park and perfect weather 10. We bought a car!! Ever since we sold the old 4runner when we left FL, we've been low-key car shopping while on the road. Found a beauty in Delaware! 1 owner 09 CRV awd. This should be a great 2nd car to save wear and tear on the Ram while we are in our seasonal spots. Tracy is going to follow in it for the next few stops before we reach our summer destination. Will likely ship it back to Florida in the fall. Seems like a keeper! For anyone interested, you can register and title a car in your home state at a distance.
