Pookie has crossed the rainbow bridge. 3 years ago when Pookie's mom walked into Paws Crossed, she knew within the first minute that this little senior (13 years old at the time) was going home with her! 3 years together ... so many great adventures together ... and so much love ♥️ From Pookie's mom: "We lost our beloved Pookie last night. He was 16 and suffered an awful seizure that would not stop. We rushed him to the ER vet. He was so weak. He passed peacefully in my arms on Boogie’s birthday. We rescued this needy little man at the age of 13. Pookie was blind, deaf, unwilling to be left alone and enjoyed waking up at 2am, stepping in his water bowl and then peeing on the floor if not carried out to the grass within one minute 😏 He pranced around the yard always on the move. A funny unique determined little man 💙 It was not always easy but it made my heart full to give him a loving home in his final years. Run free my precious boy 💙🐾 I know you’ll meet Maxy, Flo and Chester at the bridge…". What a wonderful life and family you had. You were adored! I’ve experienced more than 1 death since completing my last year of Pharmacy School & moving back near my hometown. I never spoke on my feelings. I just encourage and be strong for my love ones. I never spoke of the dreams I had saving you both right after your death & how you fought me to get away because you didn’t want me to save you. The dream I had May 1st, of me getting a second chance with my grandmother and calling her nonstop to discuss my graduation, pictures etc.,. I always say death can either consume you or make you stronger. Thank god in the midst of my pain, it made me hungry for success. It made me stronger in accepting things in life that I just cannot change. It made me feel as if I can now overcome any fear or pain that comes my way. Thank you God, for helping me gain strength during difficult times. Thank you for allowing me to become who I am & blessing me with the family I have. Thank you to my relatives who have played a huge role in my success. The talks/ advice about life in general etc., has molded me into the person I am today. Finally had the words... ❤️😕🐶🐾 A year ago today, TyTy had taken his last breath at 12:30am after an entire day of tests at the emergency clinic. Multiple Myeloma. I still feel it... My heart shattering in more pieces than I was barely handling. I lost my best bud. My pride and my JOY. MY Pookie. 10.5 years flew by so fast. 😖❤️ It was such an honor to be Ty’s momma... 😊 The big fluffy wiggle butt that everyone loved so much. The groomers adored him! 😊 I still miss him every day.
