Well After 10 yrs from the 1st Dogfest, 2014, Basil & myself made it to the 10th one at 11 years of age. 💕🐾💕 We had a lovely time at Dogfest near Guildford with friends On Saturday with Basil & our weekend boarding dog Milo. It was so lovely to meet so many different & gorgeous doggies. We didn't make it to the rescue meet up unfortunately. I hope it was super busy. I stocked up on lots of Pate treat tubes and natural goodies from jrpetproducts & a new #dickybag. Good quality Dogstrust umbrellas & poo bags. I had to make a visit to the @dogstrust stand since Basil was a dogs Trust puppy from the Salisbury centre. His name was PUK when I adopted him back in Feb 2013. I am so sorry for a the stall holders & Ticket holders for today with the cancelled event. Hola from Chuby, there he is today and then on rescue day, hard to imagine it's the same dog. Chuby is 3 years old, affectionate and a fun personality, he loves the people in his life. He was hanging out with Josefina and myself, along with the family that rescued him, but also running around to play with Capybara and other dogs in the home. Chuby loved getting belly rubs and chin rubs just like Capybara, he's playful and affectionate, And coming to Vancouver on May 1st with Capybara to find his forever family. Lionello update! 🦁 He’s doing great and very happy to be rescued. Lots of matted hair and motor oil in his fur. The vet said he’s about 8 years old. This sweet boy we think has been on the streets alone for a long time. He will need a few more baths but he got neutered and all fixed up. This orange boy is FIV+ but that’s not a big deal! 👀LOOK at Dolly!❣️Just reminding everyone that this beautiful and sweet girl is still available for adoption! 🥰She has been in a lovely foster home for a couple of months, gaining confidence with the family and her foster sister doggie and she is ready to go HOME! 🏡 She is thought to be 2 years, 6 months old and about 35 lbs with a beautiful black, tan and white coat and sweet brown eyes! She is already spayed! 🌟 She was so scared and shy when she arrived at the shelter at the beginning of the year, but she has come a long way! ❤️‍🩹She is housebroken, good with kids who know to go slow around her and other dogs if properly introduced. She was at an event yesterday and a young girl sat with her for the longest time and she loved it! She told a puppy to back off after a lot of puppy pouncing and we were proud of her for saying “no” when it was appropriate! While one half of Rez Dog was doing meet and greets, the other half went down to the rez to pick up some puppies, one momma, and drop off some food. All girls except for the Chicken Wing. Little Chicken Wing, the boy with the different paw, wasn't feeling so good on the way back. He will be getting extra fluids and care. Overall, it was a pretty successful day. Everyone went to their foster homes to settle in. They aren't available for adoption yet, but we hope they will be soon. #dogrescue #adoptdontshop #rezdogs

“Wow- is your older one training your younger one?” is something I hear all the time when Mala is with the fosters. Whether they get too far ahead, she doesn’t like the way they are playing with another dog, she thinks they need to move on from a human who seems scared, or she just wants them to “toughen up” a bit, Mala will train the fosters better than I am ever able to I honestly couldn’t foster without her and she makes me so proud every foster we get ❤️

Gracie is a young and typically energetic husky with a very sweet side. She loves to play, and loves ear scratches. :-) She recently attended the Burbank Cause For Paws event and drew a lot of attention on account of her supermodel looks. Her sparkling eyes are curious and always on the lookout for adventure, and she will melt your heart when she leans on you for pets and stares up into your soul. She is learning to control her enthusiasm on a leash, especially when encountering other dogs. She appears to have a lot more to say to male dogs, so some training will be necessary to help her be a little less bossy. She has excellent car manners, sitting or stretching out on the back seat with no complaints. Clooney 8 YO 85 Pounds Kid & Dog Friendly Leash Trained Fostered in Redmond, OR Hi, I’m Professor Clooney, or just Clooney for short. I am a sweet gentle giant, that is great with other dogs. I am the complete package, mellow, and easy going, I even know some commands, walk well on leash, and use a doggie door. I am non-reactive to other dogs and food, in fact we all eat together. When I arrived in my foster home, I was very thin and thought I was hungry all the time, I have learned that I will get a meal everyday for the rest of my life so I don’t have to worry and can take my time and enjoy my food. I love my foster family so much that I like to stay close and go where they go. I would love a home that had a buddy for me to pal around with and people that were home more often than not. I have also recently learned about toys and how to play. I am a respectful guy and like to lay on my bed or the floor instead of the couch. Lemon Meringue found his way into our care in October of 2023 when he was caught by some Good Samaritans when he was found wondering on the finders property. He was a super sweet boy who found his forever home very quickly! We checked in recently to see how he was doing and this was their update: "Lemon is doing great! He has found his forever home and we are happy to have him. He lights up the whole house with his handsome self and loves all humans, food and listening to loud music for some odd reason. Today's #SeniorSpotlight is Addie! 🐶 ➡ Hi! I'm Addie, also known as “Precious”, “Darling” or “Sweetest Girl Ever.” 😊 The folks at Forever Loved just love me and so does my foster mom! I am 7 years old, 41 lbs, and I am a Black Lab mix. I haven’t had an easy life so far, giving birth to multiple litters of pups, not having good nutritious foods, and not being treated for things like ticks, but no doubt the best is yet to come! ❤ Despite my not-so-happy past, I am so lovable and well-behaved! I'm house-trained, I am good with other dogs AND cats, and I just love meeting every human, no matter who they are! I do pull on a leash when going for a walk, but I’m super treat motivated and eager to learn that, too. I love laying on a comfy bed and will even share it with my roommates in my foster home. I am on medication for a tick-born illness, but that too, will pass and I will be good as new, probably better than ever! Our idea of a Sunday Funday? Celebrating the amazing week we had for #spring2action raising $34,000 from all of our generous supporters by saying YES to 14 kitties that needed us! Yes, you read that right, FOURTEEN! While this might not seem like a huge number to larger organizations or shelters, it’s a big undertaking for our dedicated volunteers to make this happen in one day. Hours and hours of work go into answering the outreach from the community seeking help for found cats and kittens, some more emergent than others, making plans to get the kitties to safety and lining up foster homes to accept them into their care. We are so deeply grateful for our team, near and far, that make this happen day in and day out! Special thanks to @shibuyarollcall for transporting 3 families to their fosters, including her own mama and precious babies! In addition to our planned intake today, we received an urgent plea for a pair of newborn kittens found cold in the rain late last night with no mama in sight. We are so grateful for our neonate expert @capcitycats jumping at the chance to save these babies. Unfortunately, one of the kittens passed away before we were put into contact with the finder but our little orange boy is now safe with his foster mom and receiving the critical care a 2 day old baby needs. His outlook is guarded but he’s in the very best hands. We will share more about all of these sweet kitties as they settle in their foster homes but we were too excited not to show you a sneak peek at a hard day’s work for the crew! We love our volunteers! 🧡
