The reason why you are not getting to the finish line with your targets/leads - is because you are not pre-closing them! The pre-close process happens the second you communicate with a potential client and is your make or break to make sure you close that deal! 1. Know Your Target Market: Understand your ideal customer profile and their needs inside-out. Write a list and research their pain points, industry, and job title/responsibilities in the organization to tailor your solutions. 2. Present Solutions, Not Just Products/Services: Shift the focus from product/service features to solving your prospect's problems. Get to know your client deeply, what they are struggling with, what they aren't struggling with, their current situation ad where they want to be, by asking questions upon questions. Customize your pitch to highlight how your product or service directly addresses their pain points and adds value to their business or life. 3. Follow Up Strategically: Follow up is everything when it comes to sales. Never let your prospect off the phone without a follow up meeting in place. The best sales people stay top of mind with clients, even if they are not ready to buy yet. Your follow up should include another set meeting, emails, texts, a card in the mail, drip campaign, LinkedIn request and messaging, etc. Set up a process that works best for you to stay on a follow up schedule. 4. Handle Objections with Confidence: Let's face it, you will always get some sort of objection as a sales person. It's your job to understand your target market up and down and know ahead of time what objections they may have, so you are ready to rebuttal and add value to their concerns. Having multiple rebuttals for each objection, ready in your mind, will allow for ease of your sale and exhibit confidence to your client of your product/service.
