Following recent mob attacks on Pakistani nationals, including students, in Bishkek, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar visited Kyrgyzstan’s capital on Tuesday to address Islamabad's concerns with the Kyrgyz government. The visit coincides with Pakistan’s increased efforts to evacuate its students from Bishkek, with over 800 students already returned. These attacks, which left at least five Pakistani students injured, were reportedly triggered by a brawl between Kyrgyz and Egyptian students, leading to violent mob actions against international students. In a detailed meeting with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Kulubaev Zheenbek Moldokanovich, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to strong bilateral relations and the protection of foreign nationals.
