MICROFIGHTERS: The Outrider - Fin & I are huuuuge Shadows of the Empire fans, and a week ago was the 27th anniversary of it, so naturally it's been on my mind like crazy. With all the Microfighters of the Millennium Falcon as a basis, this came together somewhat easily, but I managed to get super intricate with a lot of the details. And I'm completely obsessed with how it all came out! The big dark gray dishes were an especially fun touch, they feel chibi enough for this style. The Dash Rendar figure is based on an outfit I've never attempted before, which turned out to be another success. When designing Simi, a lot of that went into researching Native American cultures within the Pacific Northwest. The goal was to be authentic as possible, steering away from stereotypes as much as possible. Ok..this is my bad I recently did a quick range test between the stock vega, the whisper and the Hoosier 11x5.5x6 I had to take off my #lifesavers for the test. I remember when i put them on a tip was to throw them in the oven for a few mins at 350 Lmao I forgot about them! And I only had them on warm....not to self! If changing tire and throw in the lifesavers in oven....set a timer!!! I ended up ruining this set. This is a @craftandride appreciation post! I have had a silver handle on my onehwheel since I got it. One of the very first aftermarket things I got. And I really thought about it, I hate the stock handle and carrying it by the side made the most sense..so I shopped around and i did consider the velcro jeep handle a lot of people use but in the end I liked the construction of the #silverhandle and got it, even tho it was a bit more expensive. So glad I did! After 18 months of good solid use my handle started to fray around one side. It got so had I could stick my fingers thru it. My board is 30lbs with all the add ons and with a frayed handle it was making me a little nervous... So I reached out to Craft & Ride and asked them if they had a a handle replacement program similar to their fender trade in program? Lol why not? The worst the could tell me is no..instead I got an email from them saying to send it back to them and they will send me a new one..No questions asked! And they provided a shipping label for me.. So mentioned a product flaw after many miles of use, they have me send it back on their dime and thenbsend me a brand new handle..this time in blue! Wow! Im blown away by this kind of response. I was hoping to get maybe 20% off..maybe 50% off a new handle...buy they sent me a brand new one and had it sent to me within a weekwith free shipping both ways! I had a mini tragedy..I got caught in a freak flash flood..I typically don't worry as I am #badgered but recently while unloading the car my wheel feel and hit the front corner, kinda peeling it back a bit..well I forgot about it and rode home real quick. Went to check my board a few hours later and got the 15 rings of death :-( Now that it has dried out the front look even worse and you can see where water went under the plastic..eroded the glue and fried the sensor. On a bright side..there was no water under the pad itself or near control box. It was all dusty. The rest of the badger worked as it should. This was completely my fault. I believe a new footpad and I will be good to go! 3 minutes @ 300 degrees Heating instructions for conventional oven. Pre heat oven to 300 degrees. Toss in life saver. Cook for 3 minutes. Apply to rim. Rinse and repeat! My new @thefloat.life saver came in! Ya know I love that blue! The rubber compound is a bit stiff so it really makes it a lot easier if you warm em up! One of the my rings already had this big ding in it..oh well..more to come!
