About a 20-minute drive from Jardín, high in the mountains, you will find Marta & Gustavo's coffee plantations. The higher we went with our 4x4, the more incredible the views became. And at the top of the mountain, was Marta & Gustavo's finca. A beautiful house in the middle of a green valley. With a short hike uphill you will find the coffee plantations. Such a fairy tale! Together with Marta, we walked through the entire coffee process. An explanation about the coffee history of Colombia, about the different beans and the rest of the process. From growing to exporting. Besides enjoying the insane views, we also got to experience the coffee process by ourselves. From traditionally picking the coffee berries to roasting the coffee beans and tasting 3 different kinds of coffees, brewed by ourselves. Flora, Edith and I were having such a great time in Cali. We just couldn’t leave. But at the same time we wanted to explore more of Colombia. So we decided to go together. Once we arrived in Medellín, we were already missing Cali lol. But also very excited about exploring new places. We directly made a whole itinerary: - 4 nights in Medellín - 3 nights in Jardín - 1 night in Guatapé - Nightbus from Medellín to Bucaramanga - 3 nights in Barichara - 2 nights in Villa de Leyva - Nightbus from Bogota back to Cali I can already tell you: what an amazing trip this was!!!! Fast travel, but all those places were SO worth a visit. This trip inside my trip was perfect. And I absolutely wouldn't have wanted to do this with anyone but @flopattw and @jnsedith.
