Locals want you to be sure to know that Mobile had the first Mardi Gras. Bitsy has entered a Montessori school here, though she decided that in changing schools she wants to try out going by her middle name, Noel. When @tylercashin dropped her for her first day he told her that it is ok to be a bit like a turtle, shy at first until she feels ready to come out of her shell. She pointed to her new red velour tracksuit and said, “Daddy, this outfit is like my turtle shell.” I’ll be driving in to New Orleans on Thursdays and Saturdays for in-person private training (DM me if you are interested) and so I can continue to fill my tank by teaching @spyre_nola. (I hope to see you there: Thursdays at 9:45 a.m., Saturdays at 8:15 a.m.) Leaving New Orleans for the time being is bittersweet: she can be so powerful, like a family member you bond with more than anyone else yet fight with constantly. During the time between years 5 & 6 I learned a few things: - One wise mom friend was right when she said that the first time another 5-year-old is mean to my kid I will want to drive to their house and 💥! - Another wise mom friend was right when she said that it is my job to teach Bitsy to be resilient.
