Мечеть была построена специально в удаленном районе Дельта Шарм в 2006 году, чтобы отдыхающие не мешали совершать намаз. This book found its way to me when I was in college through Layne Staley's lyrics in Mad Season's song "River of Deceit" off of their 1995 album "Above." Perhaps one of the most spiritually sophisticated works of poetry I've encountered, I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand the Divine, or anyone who enjoys poetry, philosophy or theology. If you are more inclined to audio and visual art, there was also a rather striking animated adaptation created a few years ago with Liam Neeson as the voice of Almustafa - the Prophet speaking in this book. "When love beckons you, follow him, though his ways are hard and steep. And When his wings enfold you yield to him, Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you. And When he speaks to you believe in him, Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden. For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. #IlProfeta / #TheProphet di #KahlilGibran è decisamente uno dei miei libri preferiti che ho in due edizioni (di cui la prima con in copertina #TheAncientofDays dell'amatissimo anche da Gibran #WilliamBlake , influenza base insieme a #friedrichnietzsche , #waltwhitman e #ralphwaldoemerson tra gli altri, oltre a Saggi della sua terra appartenenti in particolare ai #Sufi)e che inconsciamente ha ispirato anche il mio brano #TheVoiceoftheProphet da "Golden Metal"(incentrato principalmente sulla Poetica e #Teosofia originale del Blake incentrata sul valore supremo dell' #Immaginazione e dell' #Arte , ma anche in parte alla scomparsa dell'amato #RonnieJamesDio , anche lui un #ProphetofImagination @_ronniejamesdio molto più mistico e simbolico di quello che sembra). Si potrebbe addirittura creare un concept album intero sul libro che si presta molto bene ad un'operazione del genere, più di riduzioni in films (come nel film del 2011 omonimo o in una versione animata con #SalmaHayek e #LiamNeeson alle voci)o altro che risultano veramente difficili per la mancanza di una vera narrazione. Ogni capitoletto o paragrafo è basato su un discorso alla popolazione di Orfalese/Orphalese del Profeta/Messia #AlMustafa su varie tematiche che riguardano Vita, Morte, Amore, Spirito, Libertà etc , un po' come lo #Zarathustra di #nietzsche appunto, ma in chiave più #Mistica . Il libro è divenuto molto popolare tra i sostenitori della #NewAge (anche con musicisti come il tedesco #Gandalf )e anche in rockers come #ElvisPresley e #JohnLennon tra gli altri, oltre che divi del Cinema o della Letteratura e Poesia e citato anche da Guru controversi come #Osho . Fu stampato nel 1923 e fu un grande successo ed è stato tradotto in ben 100 lingue. La sua Forza è nel non appartenere ad una religione ben precisa mirando a qualcosa di più universale per lo scontento di professori snob universitari di Storia delle Religioni. Bellissime le sue illustrazioni che accompagnano i versi decisamente alla Blake e ci sono molti richiami #Cristiani e altri culti, ma citando ancora Blake:"Tutte le Religioni sono un'Unica Immaginazione."Consigliatissimo.
