This couple had adopted this little girl who came from an abusive family. It took awhile before we could get permission to use these pictures. The family was celebrating a special event and wanted it to be special for her. In fact, we were "interviewed" by the parents to see whether she would like us as the family photographers. I think we passed the relationship-client test...ha ha The parents wanted to celebrate this event and ensure that she felt that she was loved by the both of them. Misty rain just now falling over the canola as the sun starts to set 💛 I couldn’t say no, I looked at the window and said ‘I’m heading outside’ grabbed my camera and ran out to the paddock. To go out and have a quick play and take it all in - was really peaceful. I don’t often do that anymore - just grab my camera, take in the scene and try to capture the beauty my eyes see. This is the face of a hound, a rat-dog, a ball nut, a rabbit chaser, a co-pilot, a foot warmer, a doorbell, a plant destroyer, a hoover and many other names.. But the newest name this hound will take on is Mum! Yep, this 10 year old has decided she'll have a litter in this life after all. We're pretty sure we know who the Daddy is seeing as we caught them in the act (he's a Kelpie too). The ultrasound today couldn't confirm numbers but there is at least 2 - She's due in a little over 2 weeks and we'll go in just before she's due for an x-ray and make sure everything is ok and discuss C-Section - given her age. Mum, Daughter & Gran! 🤍 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I had the pleasure of capturing these three gorgeous ladies recently - Three generations!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Arriving here at the farm the ladies were greeted by our "doorbell" aka our dog (Scout, hound, rat-dog) - she's harmless, all bark and no bite - she's 10yrs now but acts like a 2yr old most of the time! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We jumped the garden fence and made our way out to a paddock, hung out with the rams for a while, took in the view from a hay bale before strolling around all whilst chatting away.. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We made our way across the dirt road to the woolshed but not before a quick dance on the road, a few twirls and dress swishing for good measure and then we said g'day to the horse. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A few quick snaps at the woolshed before we made our way back to the house and had a little play at the cubby - Was a lovely little session!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Doesn't sound like work and certainly didn't feel like I was working! Currently working on this beautiful gallery, just love in home sessions!
