Kongresové centrum Praha zvané kongresák, dříve Palác kultury neboli PAKUL, původně Sjezdový palác, který si po svém dokončení získal nelichotivou přezdívku Lidojem. Jedna z největších budov v Česku. Mnohými zatracovaná pro údajnou nevzhlednost. Budova, která nelibost vyvolává především dobou a okolnostmi vzniku. Stavba z let 1976-1981 měla jako hlavní účel sloužit sjezdům Komunistické strany Československa. Pomalu skomírající režim plný neřešených problémů vynaložil obrovské prostředky, aby pro sebe postavil luxusní palác. Náklady na stavbu byly tak vysoké, že se za ně mohlo postavit sídliště pro 10.000 lidí. Dnes už by taková stavba nevznikla. V přepočtu na dnešní měnu stála stavba 2,5 bilionů korun! Díky tomu ale vznikla stavba plná unikátních technických, estetických a uměleckých hodnot. Stavba, která má vlastní zdravotní pohotovost a vlastní hasičský sbor. Stavba, ve které najdeme umělecká díla mimořádných kvalit. 01 Kongresové centrum při pohledu z Nuselského mostu. 02 Hlavní foyer. Vzdušný prostror přiléhající k hlavnímu sálu. Přes prosklenou stěnu foyer je impozantní výhled na panorama Prahy. 03 Plastika Žena s holubicí. Autoři Jaroslava Brychtová a Stanislav Libenský. Vysoce ceněné dílo v oboru sklářského sochařství. 04 Hlavní sál při pohledu z tzv. Prezidentské lóže. Kapacita 2.764 osob. Špičková akustika, kterou lze regulovat pomocí výškově nastavitelných zavěšených stropních segmentů, řadí sál mezi nejlepší na světě. Pohodlná křesla, na která proudí čerstvý vzduch ze zadní části opěradla křesla v předchozí řadě. Spuštěním stropních segmentů a vysunutím závěsu je možné sál zmenšit pro "komorní" úpravu. 05 Jižní salónek I, zvaný Předsednický. Zaujme mj. esteticky působivé osvětlovací těleso. Autor František Vízner. Světlo z obyčejných tyčových zářivek rozptylují skleněné koule na kovových tyčích zavěšených mezi zářivkami. Hotel Panorama. Szukam i czytam, że w momencie wybudowania budynek Hotelu Panorama był drugim co do wysokości wieżowcem w dzielnicy Pankrác, tuż za wieżowcem ówczesnego PZO Motokov (obecnie City Empiria, 104 metry). Za projekt hotelu odpowiadali architekci Aloise Semely (m.in. współtwórca hotelu Continental w Brnie), Vlado Alujeviče, a także Františka Antla. Budowę prowadziły firmy z Jugosławii. Rytm elewacji nadają pasmowe okna o aluminiowej stolarce, zaakcentowane okładziną z blachy. Ciekawym akcentem jest betonowy „wydech” z sąsiadującego obok metra. Obok głównego wejścia i na przeciwległej fasadzie na parterze znajduje się płaskorzeźbiony kamienny emblemat hotelu (autorzy S. Nejdl, O. Spelina), a tuż obok znajdziemy kamienne mozaiki z głazów (M.
