Milestone for Baby Xuan Xuan finally got her concession card at 26mo! This girl is super happy to have a bus card to tap in and out with us. (Suppose to get it in Dec23 when she was already 90cm at 25mo.) Her fave lou hei, see how she can hold the chopstick n lou with us. She was enjoying it last year at 14mo. Busy juggling with work, family and life. Life is not a bed of roses always. The girls took turn to fall sick, spring cleaning and preparation. Xuan fell ill on Day 3, xbb sore throat at Day 10. Heat the oil to stir fry garlic and noodle for 30 seconds, this step is essential to remove the alkaline taste. Remove from wok and set aside. 2. Separately fry the twa kwa and prawn till no longer grey, set aside 3. Add some oil to fry garlic till fragrant before adding the eggs and pork slices 4. First wedding as a family of 4 We enjoyed the dinner thoroughly, especially the 2 gals as this is their first experience to enjoy most of the food with us. We expect the gals will be running ard but... we were surprisingly well-behaved, seated to wait for more food to be served. True foodie! A trip to the west with our girls for nice Korean food. We went to the K-Festive at Tanglin Mall but most of the food items were sold out so we headed to HV which is only a 15min bus ride away. Best decision for the day! The Korean Fried Chicken is great, crispy on the outer retaining the juiciness and tender meat. We enjoyed the food and the girls particularly love the potato pancake (a combination of their favourite potato and cheese). There is a roadblock on weekend evenings, RQ is concerned when she sees others roaming on the road, crossing freely. She voiced her concerns that this is very dangerous. Buay Tahan Seafood We always have breakfast / brunch or crab in the bag delivery, finally get the chance to try their cze zhar food! We ordered Muifan (Horfun sauce over white rice) and sambal stingray to share. The appearance of the sambal stingray served is lacklustre due to the amount of raw onion, but tastes surprisingly nice. We are so used to eating BBQ stingray with strong burnt smell and the sambal is spicier. We love how thick the stingray meat is and I can add the desired chinchilok to tantalize our tastebud. There is a play corner for the kids to enjoy themselves while we eat in peace. Xuan is getting better to play independently, but we kept a close eye on her in contact with small parts. RQ can curate a dim sum set for us based on her memory of what we had eaten before. When we asked why is the corn in the basket, she excitedly introduced it as her favourite corn chee cheong fun! Pues además de una gigantísima mier** 🤬 Insuficiente Insuficiente Insuficiente Insuficiente Insuficiente … Y así hasta el infinito Nos queda todavía mucho por conseguir. ¿Por qué vemos normal dejar a los peques en una escuela infantil a los 4 meses (pagando muchas veces) pero no que nos den baja remunerada más allá de las 16 semanas?🤷🏻♀️ Y oye, que quien esté feliz de volver a su jornada laboral habitual, me parece genial, pero déjame que dude que eso pase a menudo… Pero de verdad creemos que una madre está preparada para separarse de su criatura voluntariamente por imperativo laboral antes de que cumpla los 4 meses?🤯 Por no hablar de la recuperación física y de la NECESIDAD del bebé de estar junto a su madre. A mi no me convence este concepto de “igualdad”, lo siento. Parece que lo único que se valorar es la productividad en terminos de dinero. Y si yo quiero quedarme más tiempo cuidando a mi criatura? Por qué sólo puedo hacerlo juntando vacaciones, mes de lactancia y luego excedencia (sin cobrar claro). Nosotros por suerte, y sí, digo por suerte, porque sé que muchas familias no pueden planteárselo, vamos a poder estar juntos más tiempo y tardaré en volver al hospital a hacer guardias, pero no debería ser ningun privilegio poder quedarnos con nuetras criaturas al menos el primer año después de que nazcan.
