Today I celebrate the last day of the Women Street Photographers wonderful annual exhibition in NY, beautifully curated and organized by @gulnara.samoilova. Although I wasn’t able to attend, my image was there among the work of so many talented photographers, and I was delighted to participate vicariously through everyone’s lively posts and reels. A photo I absolutely cherish is one of one-and-only amazing Donna Ferrato stopping by and keeping company with my image, white poppies in her hand. What a sweet honor! This moment went straight to my heart! In a way, it encapsulates so much of what this exhibition and group stands for: the friendship and solidarity among talented women artists and photographers nurturing and supporting one another.
