In other words, if you want a slice of nature, Jeju island is the perfect escape. If you’re looking for peaceful strolls, gorgeous cliffside views, fresh air and beautiful waterfalls, this is going to be the perfect place to visit. What makes this island unique is that the entirety of it is actually a hiking trail. You’ll see colorful ribbons everywhere guiding your way so if you have the endurance, you can hike around the entire island. Jeju island is also famous for its black pork and sweet tangerines. One thing that certainly blew my mind was witnessing the Haenyeo which are a group of female divers, some of them are in their 70’s and 80’s and they dive daily to catch seafood without any oxygen tanks! I loved Jeju island and I’m so happy it was a part of my itinerary. Visited the samgyup place that the 97 liners visited and the jeju black pork belly was gooooood 👌🏼😭 didn’t have the appetite to order fried rice or the tofu stew (which they ordered too accdg to the waiters) but I’m pretty sure that would be good too! Definitely worth the visit! So good to be back in Évora, one of Portugal's loveliest small cities in the heart of Alentejo. A fine lunch today in one of my very favourites, Bistro Barão, a cosy restaurant with very fine renditions of regional classics accompanied by a select and exceptional small range of the regions best wines. Tucked up one of Évora's myriad small side streets, you are guaranteed of a truly local experience and a warm welcome. Two excellent dishes this sunny lunchtime, we began with Farinheira com ovos (Portuguese smoked sausage with egg) *not pictured but outstanding* and followed with the triumphant, mouth-watering Bochechas de Porco Preto com vinho tinto (Black pork cheeks in red wine) which had lusciously marinated overnight in the wine, tomato, garlic and onion, rendering the cheeks fall-apart and meltingly tender. Designed for maximum salivation! This is a quiet and delightful find that warrants repeat visits to taste the real Southern Portugal.

In addition to the usual sauce, they also have yuzu miso and soy sauce. Mustard, salt, and mayonnaise will be served if you ask. Indeed, the meat was luxuriously voluminous, soft, and delicious. Overall their dishes were pretty good, but I liked their starters the most🤪 Lamb Kothu Roti — 8/10⭐️ I am not sure why but this dish is just so moreish, especially given the juxtaposition of the roti and shredded lamb🤤 Beef Rib Fry — 7.5/10⭐️ The beef ribs have a kick of spice there, definitely one of the dishes worth ordering when you are here✨✨ Prawn Kari — 7/10⭐️ Chocolate Biskuit Pudding — 7/10⭐️ I thought this would be too sweet for me, but I think they were using more dark chocolate and it was pretty thick and dense. It’s good if you are sharing but if you are getting this for yourself, might be a bit much🥹 Black Pork Kari — 6.5/10⭐️ I think that the Kari tasted a bit odd at first, but after a while it tasted slightly better but still, I guess it’s more like an acquired taste.
