To nastie, a dokładnie termonastie! Ruchy roślin związane ze zmianą temperatury otoczenia. Płatki kwiatowe tulipana otwierają się, gdy jest cieplej, zamykają, gdy jest chłodniej, a wystarczy różnica w tempareturze o 1 st. Celsjusza! "Ktoś" obliczył, że podczas takiego jedego ruchu płatki kwiatowe tulipana wydłużają się o 7%, przy kilkukrotnym powtórzeniu tego procesu, płatki tulipana mogą podwoić swoją długość. Wow! Botanical curiosity, anyone? Cytisus scoparius, or Scotch broom (also called Spanish, French and English broom, depending where you’re from😁). The broom element is retained in most of the languages I looked at. However, it was also called planta genista in the 15th and 16th century (still called genêt à balais in French), the plant which gave its name to the House of Plantagenet, and as such was the royal emblem of five Plantagenet kings of England. Мне посчастливилось принять участие в новом проекте Ассоциации Художников Ботанического Искусства @russianbotanicalartists и Курорта «Роза Хутор». 73 художника АХБИ со всей России под руководством Президента Анны Алёшиной @anna_bentele трудились над созданием художественного Атласа «Растения горного Причерноморья» (редакция доктора биологических наук, профессора МГУ А.С.Зернова). В результате было создано 130 ботанических иллюстраций растений Западного Кавказа. Среди них - Мытник Вильгельмса, который я с удовольствием нарисовала. Необычное растение, как будто с другой планеты (неземное, марсианское, похоже 🌱👽)… Я с детства люблю рисовать и в школьные годы оформляла наглядные пособия по ботанике для любимой учительницы по биологии Татьяны Павловны и даже собиралась поступать на Биологический факультет в МГУ… Никогда я не думала, что получится в будущем принять участие в настоящем научном проекте. Атлас состоит из изображений видов растений, обитающих вблизи Курорта «Роза Хутор», и отдыхающим туристам поможет в определении встречающихся экземпляров. Атлас карманного формата, издан влагозащищенным, оформлен в виде отдельных планшетов на колечке. Оригинальная идея - систематизировать растения по цвету плодов или цветков - легко найти быстро даже юным натуралистам- путешественникам. В описании к каждому растению жирным шрифтом отмечены занесенные в Красную книгу и опасные. Конечно, любое растение лучше не рвать и не брать в руки, но люди разные и очень радостно, что в этом проявлена забота авторов проекта. Теперь появилась идея: взять этот замечательный Атлас и отправиться на Кавказ, повидаться с «марсианским» чудом и другими обитателями горных ландшафтов… От всей души поздравляю всех причастных с успешным завершением проекта! #watercolorbotanicals #botanicalartist #botanicalillustration #botanical_art

It is the painter’s identity, his style, his conviction, and then colour is just a gift to the drawing. “ ~ Fernando Botero Finally I’m able to offer you some images taken in daylight. It’s so hard to capture the true colour of the painting but these are as close as I can get. A little about the paper I used - Arches 640g HP. It wasn’t my preferred choice but due to a botched shipment and time constraints I had to make do with what I had. It doesn’t have a smooth surface - unlike its watercolour pads. I had to work doubly hard to produce neat edges. BUT painting textures like the mottled petals was helped along as the brush would skim the ‘ridges’ producing the desired effect. Brushes. I’ve realised that I tend to use a different set of brushes for different projects. What works for one wouldn’t for another. So the beginning of a painting is always the awkward stage for me where I try to find the right brushes that will work well together. After awhile I get into a rhythm trying this and that, and end up with a ‘crew’ for that project. Which will be disbanded once the project is over. A new ‘crew’ to be put together for the next painting. Anyone else with this same peculiarity?
