Quelle est cette plante à votre avis ??? A un moment très difficile de ma vie, ces petites perles de bout de chemin m'ont tenu la main pour ne pas sombrer. En marchant sur le petit chemin qui monte vers la vallée du Paradis , mon regard s' accroche à ses fleurs toutes séchées par le soleil. Je cueille intuitivement. Je pose mes fesses à même la terre du chemin et je joue avec les doigts et là tout d'un coup en decortiquant les feuilles se dessine un petit rond qui s'emboîte. Joie enfantine et respect pour cette nature qui porte toute sa poésie et son génie en elle. Nous sommes tous guidés. On nous susurre à l'oreille. Mais nous perdons pied dans ce monde bruyant. ••••••• En un moment molt difícil de la meva vida, aquestes petites perles al final del camí em van agafar de la mà per no enfonsar-me. Mentre pujo el petit corriol que puja a la Vall del Paradís, la meva mirada es fixa en les seves flors, totes assecades pel sol. Trio de manera intuïtiva. Col·loco el cul a la terra del camí i jugo amb els dits i de sobte, mentre pelo les fulles, sorgeix un petit cercle que encaixa. . Alegria infantil i respecte per aquesta naturalesa que porta tota la seva poesia i geni en si. Tots estem guiats. Ens xiuxiuegen a les orelles. A4 spring flower collage with forget-me-nots! Been a while since I posted anything here. Don't worry I didn't forget you ;) My phone was broken. And to be honoust it was such a blessing in disguise! The only thing I really missed was taking pictures. So I picked up my old Canon camera again to make these pictures What I experienced spending less time on my phone: ● I had more social interaction, not less! Instead of staying at home and relying on online interaction it pushed me to go to a weekly diner, ask people for their number who I wouldn't have usually and invite someone for lunch. ● It felt good not being so attached to my phone! I felt way more relaxed, much less stressed and much more present in actuallife. Being on my phone always makes me less connected to tacticle things and less present in the physical and actually being in the world not just in the cloud. ● Life is more enjoyable and I'm more productive 🤸♀️ I seriously recommend braking your phone once in a while! Any tips to stay off it now that it's fixed are also welcome 💓 Ps. This work is coming with me to the physical Spring Market on May 12th @botanische_tuin_kralingen along with a bunch of other frames I made during my offline period. I (Rachel) wanted to put this image out there so very early on this Sunday morning. I can’t sleep and when I can’t sleep I often get the urge to edit pretty pictures and then empty my overflowing pot of feelings by writing, which I usually then delete. In the not too distant past, I discovered I love taking pictures of our natural world, mostly in the form of landscapes. I found that editing these pictures calms my restless mind, helping me to feel the ground again while simultaneously being able to forget my own existence. I think the key to living is finding the things you can get lost in. (Or honestly, maybe it’s having a bunch of kids so you have zero time to focus on yourself.) Keith recently created this piece. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Keith get so organically lost in anything as much as he does when he is creating original flower art. In observing him work all I can wonder is, “has Keith found his thing?!” (He also makes some pretty amazing stick figure art). Never would I have imagined this for Keith, or for me. Life does take some interesting turns. This being said, Keith and I are taking notice of our strengths. And our weaknesses. We are trying to get rid of the parts of the business that make our cup runneth over with anxiety and head in other directions that excite us. For Keith, this means taking on less wedding work and creating more original art with a flower pallet of his choosing. It means no longer having to ship these large and delicate original pieces, worrying whether they will arrive safely (This is the main source of our anxieties). Instead we hope to make prints so our work can be more accessible to all. For me this means working with my camera and documenting our processes with locally grown flowers, to tell a story. It’ll be interesting to see where we are in another year.
