Throwing it back to February of 2023 when I released the knitting pattern for this neck gaiter called “Manzanita Sunset, February.” This piece has had a lot of wear so far this winter! I made one for my father-in -law a few months ago and he loves it, and now it’s time to finally make the one I promised to my husband, Matt. It was originally designed using Peerie by Brooklyn Tweed, but those skeins are a bit hard to come by since the yarn has been discontinued, so I think I’m going to switch it up and see how it looks in BT Loft or maybe Tones Light. This sweater, Ecola, was originally designed for @brooklyntweed 's Grey Coast collection. In brainstorming garments that could be shown alongside my drawings, I thought of this sweater. Finally making good progress on my Ginkgophyte Sweater. Yarn is Brooklyn Tweed Perrie in the Cobbler colorway. Snagged a couple cones when they were clearing out stock a while back, sadly it’s been discontinued now. The yarn is a delight to work with. Excellent stitch definition. The pattern is easy to follow now, though I did have to in-knit and re-knit a few rows when I began the charted section. Peerie 실이 지금은 단종 되었지만.. 동글동글 하게 연사된.. 탄력이 많은 이런 특성이 궁금해서 먼저 사두었던 실이고… brooklyntweed의 burnished 색상이 매력적이어서 가을에 잘 입을 옷에 사용하고 싶었는데 결과적으로 도안을 잘 만난것 같다. 원작실과 도안을 일치 시켜 본 첫 번째 옷이 되었다. 먼저 골라 둔 원작실에 맞추어 도안을 고르는 경험도 짜릿했다. 써보고 싶은 실-내 몸에 맞는 뜨개옷-가능하면 새로운 시도를 해 볼 수 있는 조건을 충족하는 도안. 생각보다 이런게 그렇게 많지 않다. 어깨 선이 거의 팔꿈치까지 내려 오도록 하는 도안이라서 내 몸의 장단점을 잘 보완한다. 드롭숄더의 몸통 줄임보다 더 aggressive 하게 줄일 수 있어서 원한다면 크롭기장이나 볼레로 스타일을 만들 때 응용할 수도 있을 것 같다… 허리선을 잘 살려줘야 하니깐 나중엔 얇은 벨트랑 같이 입어도 좋은 듯😄 몸통이 벌키하니까 소매는 팔은 nagative ease로 붙게 만들고 싶어서 소매코 줍기를 할때 도안에 나와있는 콧수보다 덜 주웠다.
