It makes me feel really sad when I hear people put boy dancers down just because they are âBOYSâ Particularly at competitions you hear people saying things like: âOh there is a boy in this section so obviously he will winâ âHe won because of P* Pointsâ âOf course he placed because heâs a boyâ âThey just place boys so that they donât give up dancingâ Itâs even sadder when it said by the dance teachers from the other schools who are competing. You are teaching dancers of the future and itâs not just teaching them to dance that matters, itâs how to treat others too in this already very competitive dance world. I donât expect to win or place just because I am a boy, I train really hard, work hard on my technique, musicality, execution, flexibility and strength just as hard as the girl dancers do.
