MEET THE STAFF!! • • • Meet our resident teacher and choreographer Lenorris Arnold! • • Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Mr. Arnold moved to Houston, Texas and studied all dance disciplines at Masters, The Upper Level in Stafford, TX. His unique lyrical style of movement garnered attention from both drill teams and dance studios throughout Houston and he has become an extremely sought after teacher and choreographer in Texas and Louisiana. In addition, he judges promising young talent with Elevation On Tour. Lenorris’ choreography has won numerous top awards at competitions such as Adrenaline Dance Convention, Legacy Dance Competition, Primetime Dance Productions, Hall of Fame Dance Competition, Artists Simply Human Dance Workshop, Move Dance Productions, New York City Dance Alliance, StarSystems Talent Competition, and Showstopper Competitions. Lenorris teaches at several local studios and constantly continues his dance education through seminars, conventions and travel to NYC and LA. His greatest inspiration is the progress of the dancers themselves.

💥 PLEINS FEUX SUR NOS ARTISTES 💥 ⠀⠀⠀ Né en Russie, Yosmell Calderon Mejias est diplômé de l’École nationale de danse (END) de La Havane en 2005 comme danseur et professeur de danse contemporaine et de folklore et de l’Université de l’art de Cuba (ISA) en 2014. Il a collaboré avec de grandes figures du monde de la danse telles que Rafael Bonachela, Mats Ek, Itzik Galili, Carlos Acosta junior, Jan Linkens, Juan Cruz et Ana Laguna. Il fut le danseur étoile de Danza Contemporanea de Pal Frenak Compagnie, a interprété plus de 22 œuvres de chorégraphes cubains et étrangers, présentées dans des théâtre et festivals majeurs du monde entier. ⠀⠀⠀ Il est également chorégraphe au niveau primaire pour l’École de ballet du Festival international de ballet de La Havane, et grâce à son expérience en gymnastique, il conçoit aussi des chorégraphies pour des spectacles de cirque. Il intègre Ballets Jazz Montréal en juillet 2016 et devient artiste principal en 2019. ⠀⠀⠀ 💥 ARTIST HIGHLIGHT 💥 ⠀⠀⠀ Russian-born Yosmell Calderon Mejias graduated as a dancer and teacher of both contemporary and folk dance from Cuba's National School of Dance (ENA) in Havana in 2005. He also received a diploma from the University of Arts (ISA) in 2014. Yosmell has collaborated with such outstanding figures in the world of dance as Rafael Bonachela, Mats Ek, Itzik Galili, Carlos Junior Acosta, Jan Linkens, Juan Cuz and Ana Laguna. A little introduction from me: Hello! 👋 I'm Jodie. I very recently relocated to Southsea, Portsmouth from Bristol, but originally I'm from the beautiful coastline of North Devon. I trained at London Theatre School, Laban and continued my professional development working closely alongside Jasmine Vardimon Company as a member of JV2. Since then I have worked as a professional freelance dance artist, performer and teacher. I place an emphasis on technique, release, floor work and travel in my classes - accompanied by what I consider to be an excellent playlist (I may be a little biased, but I do like to spend the extra time curating these.) I've had a bit of a hiatus from dance which has been the right move for me, because now I'm so excited to be re-entering the dance world with the same passion and energy that I originally had. I promote an inclusive, informal and friendly atmosphere in the studio. The aim is to challenge ourselves, work our bodies, move creatively but most importantly - as cheesy as it sounds - have fun. Ashley Schrader is a current senior at The University of Arizona double majoring in Dance and Business Management graduating May 2024. Ashley has performed in numerous works featuring the lead female in "Nevermore" by Thang Dao, the “Lady in White” in Diversion of Angels by Martha Graham, and “I Had a Dream” solo in Company B by Paul Taylor. She has worked with many choreographers such as Kayla Farrish, Frank Chavez, Chris Compton, Alysia Johnson, Duane Cyrus, Jason Hortin, and Gabriel Speiller. She has trained at several intensives including Hubbard Street “Create” intensive, Bruce Wood Dance Company winter intensive, Limón Dance Company, Chuthis, and more. Mια διεθνής συμπαραγωγή της Στέγης, το Larsen C αγκαλιάστηκε από το αθηναϊκό κοινό καθώς παρουσιάστηκε για 5 sold-out παραστάσεις στην Κεντρική Σκηνή τον Μάρτιου του 2022, ενώ μετά και την Ευρωπαϊκή του περιοδεία τον Οκτώβριο της ίδιας χρονιάς, επέστρεψε ξανά στη Στέγη για μια δεύτερη σειρά sold-out εμφανίσεων. "Larsen C", an #OnassisStegi international co-production, was presented on the Main Stage in March 2022, with a sold-out run of five performances, and returned after its European tour for a second sold-out run in October of the same year. Named after the glacier that broke off, the captivating performance explores the patterns of monumental change around the world. The four finalists will present their work at #SadlersWells across two weeks beginning on 29 January 2025 and the winners will be announced on 10 February 2025.
